Trapder use their strong jaws to eat dead coral, clearing space for new coral to grow. They burrow into the sand to sleep, using the same burrows as ambush points to hunt fish Pokémon when needed.

At night, it burrows a hole in the seafloor with its broad tongue to make a place to sleep. Its big jaws crunch through boulders.
