Marelp uses its tail to grab onto underwater objects, camouflaging itself as rotten kelp. When prey gets within reach, it will let go of whatever it is holding and deliver a vicious uppercut to the belly.

Camouflaged as rotten kelp, they spray liquid poison on prey that approaches unawares and then finish it off. It continually undertakes strenuous training to master all forms of martial arts.
