Sandyjask's shovel-like wings allow it to take short, rapid flights. Swarms can be seen filling eastern coastline skies each spring in a dazzling but ominous display.
Because it darts about vigorously at high speed, it is very difficult to see. It likes the shovel on its head, so Sandyjask will get serious and fight any children who come to take it back.
