Mudlup are inherently lazy, becoming active only to defend themselves, loftily play with friends, or eat. They favor marshy areas and love to eat large, tough foods in single gulps, spending many hours chewing on said food.

Because it is very proud, it hates accepting food from people. On land, it can powerfully lift large boulders by planting its four feet and heaving.
