Toxsect keeps its tentacles curled against its body to retain body heat and releases fungal spores whenever it shivers. Its main diet consists of kelp found at low tide, but it also breaks coconuts with its sharp claws to eat the juicy flesh inside.

Toxsect are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. Those attacked by Toxsect's poison will suffer intense pain for three days and three nights.
