Tankern's body is very weak and fragile. They sit in areas where the sun shines for most of the day, absorbing and turning the light into energy to grow their vines and protect themselves.

Tankern try to minimize movement to conserve the nutrients they have stored in their bodies for evolution. Its vines snap off easily and painlessly if they are grabbed, allowing it to make a quick getaway.
