Kadakarp feeds along the bottom of rivers by using its moustache to disturb the silt and dirt. If it is interrupted, it uses its psychic powers to repel the foe before returning to combing the riverbed for more food.
Its swimming muscles are weak, so it is easily washed away by currents. It is rumored that a boy with psychic abilities suddenly transformed into Kadakarp while he was assisting research into extrasensory powers.
