After heavy snowfall, the conical mushroom on Snosect's head is often the only part of its body that remains visible. It feeds the mushroom by digging up and eating fallen leaves from beneath the snow.

Snosect are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. They tend to move about in groups of around five Snosect.
