Zunub have small, vestigial wings that are too small to allow them to fly. Instead, older members of the colony bite these wings to signal affection, feeding them fruits and berries to keep their bodies rotund and plump.

It roots for food by rubbing its snout against the ground. While living in pitch-black caverns, their eyes gradually grew shut and deprived them of vision.
