Near the end of its lifecycle, the sprout-like tail on Torwig's rear grows into a large tree that prevents it from moving easily. This tree continues to draw nutrients from the main body long after it passes on.
Made from soil, the shell on its back hardens when it drinks water. Small Pokémon occasionally gather on its unmoving back to begin building their nests.
