The feelers on Sylkoal's body are extremely strong and can withstand the heat of up to 1500 degrees. It uses them to grab at burning trees during forest fires, consuming the charred wood and berries even while they are still ablaze.
When Sylkoal becomes agitated, it emits a special blue smoke from its shell that calms nearby humans. This has little to no effect on Pokémon, though, so Sylkoal is unable to calm itself with this method.
