Sylsect give hugs to lonely Pokémon by wrapping ribbons around them. The spores that cling to the lonely Pokémon produce a sweet scent that helps ease their anxiety.

Sylsect are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. It sends a soothing aura from its ribbonlike feelers to calm fights.
