Carchum is often found resting atop smooth lapis lazuli deposits. Its crystalline body absorbs the stone's deep blue hues, making it appear as though it is sleeping on the night sky.

It actively runs about, but also falls often. Born from the high temperatures and pressures deep underground, it defends itself by firing beams from the jewel part of its body.
