In lieu of ventral and dorsal fins, Quikarp sprouts intense plumes of flame. While they're unable to be extinguished by water, it means Quikarp boils the rivers it calls home, leaving itself and other Water-types helpless in the resulting canyons.
Its swimming muscles are weak, so it is easily washed away by currents. It intimidates foes with intense gusts of flames and superheated air.
