Poliseed crawl across the bottom of river beds using their powerful arms, keeping their soft under-belly safely turned to the floor. They grip tightly onto larger rocks when they come under attack, relying on their spiny hide to protect them.

They stick their spikes into cave walls and absorb the minerals they find in the rock. Its body surface is always wet and slick with an oily fluid.
