Palix tunnels beneath forests to devour tree roots, leaving fungal spores in the ground that grow as the trees rot. If the trees in a forest begin to drop dead without visible damage on the surface, an underground Palix may be responsible.

Palix live even further underground than Onix. A Palix has parasitic tochukaso mushrooms growing on its back.
