Ninlup roots around loose soil to dig up seeds and nuts on the ground to eat. It is very greedy and defensive when eating, spitting bubbles and half-eaten seeds at anything it sees coming near while it feeds.
Because it is very proud, it hates accepting food from people. It makes its nest at the roots of a mighty tree.
