Muncholu has the ability to see the aura of trees and picks a tree to eat from based on the color of the aura. Scientists are still trying to determine if its choice is based on the health of the tree or another unseen factor.
The aura that emanates from its body intensifies to alert others if it is afraid or sad. It wolfs down its weight in food once a day, swallowing food whole with almost no chewing.
