It is unknown why Magidash's back half is missing, with scientists believing that its hind legs were eaten away by other Pokémon over time. It doesn't seem bothered by this, as the legs still function the same as if they still had muscles on them.
It usually canters casually in the fields and plains. Its swimming muscles are weak, so it is easily washed away by currents.
