After starring in a Pokéstar Studios production, Magilurk became a popular armored superhero mascot. It is portrayed as the protector of all Magikarp, eternally battling its rival Maginette for control of the seas.
It is said that Magilurk were ordered to protect people and Pokémon by the ancient people who made them. Its swimming muscles are weak, so it is easily washed away by currents.
