Koffinch's jaw contains corrosive gases that come from their lungs. When they bite something, they don't let go until their gases dissolve what they cling to. Trainers have found that petting their head makes them stop biting.

Its big jaws crunch through boulders. Getting up close to a Koffinch will give you a chance to observe, through its thin skin, the toxic gases swirling inside.
