A vindictive little forest spirit, Hountump sneaks up on trespassers in its territory before poking them with its tail. Being jabbed by the tip of its tail leaves one with a stinging burn that inevitably leaves a spade-shaped mark on the skin.
These Pokémon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died in the forest. In a Hountump pack, the one with its horns raked sharply back serves a leadership role.
