Gabnub aggressively hunt through shallow soil and scree around cliff faces, using their acute sense of smell to hone in on food. Some Gabnub sport a large fin on their backs, letting them move faster at the expense of being more visible.
It roots for food by rubbing its snout against the ground. There is a long-held belief that medicine made from its scales will heal even incurable illnesses.
