Large colonies of Flaalup can cause problems with nautical and polar navigation; its combined electrical fields play havoc with navigation equipment. Its tail gives off soft light; in antiquity, it was used similarly to lighthouses.
Because it is very proud, it hates accepting food from people. Its fleece quality changes to generate strong static electricity with a small amount of wool.
