Digceus's body is surprisingly tender and sensitive, so Digceus coats it with hardened stone and jewels it finds while digging underground. It instills the gems it collects with portions of its own power, making them capable of firing light beams.
As Digceus digs underground, buried treasures and clumps of dirt stick to their body, forming a sort of protective barrier. Treasure hunters seek out these Pokémon in hopes of collecting any treasures that fall off.
