Charple uses the flame on its tail to burn tree bark and then drinks the sap from the cracks in the bark. The Pokémon tends to live in humid areas to avoid causing forest fires while scavenging for its food.
It sticks to tree branches and eats leaves. The flame that burns at the tip of its tail is an indication of its emotions.
