Burying itself in the desert sands, Sandinch hunts by hiding underground with only its mouth exposed. Able to unhinge its jaw and lay it flat, it waits for prey small enough to swallow and snaps its mouth shut when it's underneath them.

Its big jaws crunch through boulders. It moves along below the sand's surface, except for its nose and eyes.
