Necrosaur has a unique, bulb shaped energy core on its back that absorbs photoenergy and undergoes photosynthesis, like plants. The large metal plates are very flexible yet sturdy, and they will conceal its core when it senses danger.
To support its bulb, Necrosaur's legs grow sturdy. Light is apparently the source of its energy.
