Kakarp's bodies are made up of one solid husk so they simply float atop rivers and streams unable to control their path. They are incapable of evolving unless their bodies are completely dry.
Its swimming muscles are weak, so it is easily washed away by currents. It remains virtually immobile while it clings to a tree.
