Carplup uses the sharp tips of its flippers to carve gems out of cavern walls so it can eat them. Some Trainers have taken to using its skills in artistry, carving sculptures out of stone and similar materials.
It lives alone, away from others. Born from the high temperatures and pressures deep underground, it defends itself by firing beams from the jewel part of its body.
