Belldude uses its sturdy roots and leaves to climb throughout mountainous terrain in search of food, primarily bug Pokémon. When it finds an area with prey, it will root itself and pretend to be a boulder, snapping up anything that lands on it.

It climbs mountain paths using only the power of its arms. A Belldude's thin and flexible body lets it bend and sway to avoid any attack, however strong it may be.
