The hard plating on Cranpuff's head produces a sharp clanging that varies in pitch depending on how it was struck. It headbutts things and uses the tone created to help it tune its singing.

Its cranium is so sturdy that it's thought to be completely invulnerable. Once, a misfired cannon shot struck a nearby Ramdon; the cannonball shattered on impact, and Ramdon neither flinched nor noticed.

Bastiotei travels quickly across the land defending the weak, stopping bullies mid-strike with its sturdy skull. It gives the perpetrators one chance to back away and avoid conflict, acting mercilessly to those who don't heed the warning.

Slapie spends much of its time sleeping inside trees. It only wakes up to devour every leaf on the tree in a feeding frenzy, then goes straight back to its constant hibernation.

Slagela lumbers around slowly in tall grass areas, poking around for food and swatting at anything that bothers it with its huge arms. Its vines, if removed and steamed, make a meal that invokes drowsiness in those that eat it.

Because the joey spends most of its time sleeping and requires little food, Slakhan is a rather lax parent. It is one of the few Kangaskhan fusions that allows others to hold its young for extended periods.

Slafree takes its time consuming the nectar of entire fields of flowers. It violently punts anything that comes too close while it is eating; even much larger Pokémon can be sent flying by its kick.

Tiny and lazy, Slaper only needs to feed once a week, loafing the rest of its time away. Even yawning is treated like a strenuous activity for Slaper.

Slawile stores berries in its false mouth so it can lengthen the time between hunts for food. Occasionally, it may injure itself trying to store too much at once in this effort to be lazy.

It rarely moves, so an ecosystem of small Pokémon flourishes on its back. This suits Slaterra just fine, as it can feed on leftover bits of their meals that fall from above, letting it remain sedentary longer.

Legends say it sleeps somewhere far above the clouds, and that should humanity's follies wake it from its slumber, it will descend with great fury and put all of humanity to rest.

Slablim enlists help from Drifloon in order to fly, as it's too heavy to float on its own power. It commands them to carry it to areas rich in fruit, so it can drop down and gorge itself.

Slapuff's singing is quite cacophonous, as it doesn't bother to practice and hone its skill. Listeners often feign sleep to make it stop more quickly; the resulting indignant wrath is still less painful than its song.

Slabas is usually content to float placidly in water, ignoring most of its surroundings. Should something agitate it, however, it will fly into a thrashing rage potent enough to give a Gyarados pause.

Many falsely assume the two Pokémon work in tandem to trap unfortunate victims, but in reality the Slaking is trying to save any creature Palossand tries to sneakily capture and hide within itself.

Its wings have atrophied from lack of use and even the fire on its tail hardly smolders when it deigns to move around. If angered, however, Slaizard's fire will erupt into a blazing inferno used to immolate the target of its ire.

Nidoking is powerfully aggressive, but also has a strong maternal instinct to protect anything smaller than it. Some have even been seen getting into fights with Kangaskhan over who could better protect the child.

Abkyu seeks to improve the poor image of Absol, by doing good deeds while disguised to resemble it. This slowly garners it the friendship of Absol and humans alike as the damaged reputation is repaired.

Said in some legends to harvest the souls of the malevolent, Duspom swings a massive scythe wielded by the skeletal arms jutting from its body. It lets out a distinctive cackling shriek as it reaps its target.

Dustom is considered a bit of a menace, due to the fact that any electronic it possesses will cease to function after it leaves it. Sadly this is unintentional and involuntary on Dustom's part.

Dusra has incredibly weak defenses, but a lot of determination. In battle, it constantly teleports to endlessly dodge until its opponent gives up out of exhaustion or frustration.

A Dusknoir has taken pity on the soul of a dead Cubone yet to avenge its mother. The skeleton walks again, granted a fraction of Dusknoir's power with which to finish its business.

Duskossom is occasionally spotted in graveyards, quietly and eerily dancing among the tombstones. Those who have spotted its dance in the wild swear to have beheld faint images of those long deceased dancing alongside it.

It is said that Dusklade is tasked with bringing others to the afterlife, but feels honor-bound to give its targets a fair fight for their soul. If defeated, it bows out with grace, never to bother its foe again.

Wailtor traipses through forests, its elongated neck giving it a massive vantage point. If it spies areas lacking hydration, it sprays water from its spout to nourish the surrounding plant life.

Wailbone is found at the ocean floor, where the skulls of Wailord lie. Small groups live together within the massive skeletal remains, working together to defend their home and family.

Wailras's large size and buoyant body allows it to ferry large amounts of people at once. It's often used as a budget alternative to luxury cruises across the ocean.

Tales state that each egg is supposed to contain an essence of existence itself: time and space, mind, body and soul, matter and antimatter. Old tomes state that creation rests in the center, protected always by the others in the clutch.

Arckhan considers its young sacred, raising them for a divine purpose beyond mortal keen. If one approaches without the parent's approval, Arckhan will attempt to erase them from existence.

On Tursparce's back is soft soil that will nurture plant life if seeds are planted. Its sedentary and docile nature means that it has no problem if its owners wish to use it to grow flowers or minor crops on it.

Turpede rolls across the dirt in order to mix new soil into the dirt part of its shelled body. This helps it obtain more nutrients so its evolution can proceed more smoothly and quickly.

After drinking, its body and limbs swell up as they absorb the moisture. It is more sluggish in movement and weaker in combat during this time.

When threatened, Nidotung slides its large tongue across its horn, slicking it with its poison so that it can apply a debilitating lick from a distance. The toxins leave a foe paralyzed for an hour after being licked.

Nidoans's poison is shared between its horn and fangs, so after using one, both are depleted and useless for a time. The more vibrant the color on its tail, the more venomous the specimen.

The venom from its horn causes paralysis, and Nidorina uses it well in defense as well as discipline; it has been observed giving unruly young Nidoran a "time-out" by stunning them with a poisonous poke.

Having not fully matured to the next form, Nidorino's poison is less concentrated due to its larger size, and loses potency as a result. It's notably more docile than Nidorino and male Nidoran as well.

Nidolithe is a loyal and affectionate pet, but carries a poisonous bite. Some Trainers get the toxins from their pet to avoid potential issues, but most consider it an inhumane act.

It prefers using flashy moves in battle over more practical ones. Its signature move is a rolling leap into a grapple or suplex, preferably on larger opponents to maximize flair.

Pipras takes pride in the number of times they've helped ferry humans across water, flaunting their count over others with lower numbers. They sometimes even fight over which of them will get to carry a passenger in need.

Piprunt bundles itself up to keep its cool body temperature from dissipating too quickly. Without its cloak, even just being in room temperature surroundings would lead to overheating before long.

After snatching up fish from the water, Pipby enjoys doing a scuttling victory dance around its spoils. Sometimes it gets so into its celebration that another predator manages to sneakily steal the meal.

Deep rumbling breaths can be heard from its false mouth, puffs of steam emitting from what appears to be a nose. When sleeping, it always makes sure this mouth is pointed north, for unknown reasons.

Nosekey usually remains sedate, but upon smelling certain trigger smells will fly into a frothing rage. The scents that trigger the anger are different for each individual, so preventing tantrums is difficult.

It has been said that pressing the nose of a Noseape during its rampage will calm it down instantly. Due to the ferocity of its raging, this has yet to be scientifically verified.

Nosechoke is rather vain about its physical appearance, polishing and chiseling its stone form into the build it finds perfect. The only part it refuses to adjust is its massive nose, thinking it already flawless.

Noseler has a specialized sense of smell, able to identify the type and quality of any stone or gem offered to it. Many appraisers keep one on hand to help with determining the value of any given jewel they come across.

Noseduo's heads often argue to the point of attempting to peck at each other. Due to their noses possessing the same magnetic polarity, this just causes their heads to be repelled back, preventing any real violence.

Though its charge is slow and lumbering, few things can stand the impact of Probopardos's headbutt. It has been observed carefully grooming the mane around its neck, using magnetism from its horn to remove any debris.

Hongey's beak is as sharp as a blade. It uses it to stab through fruits and berries and drink their juices from within, tossing the husk aside when it's finished.

Hongia stand tall at the edges of the ocean, watching over and protecting the land from the sea's beasts. A single swing of their blade is enough to split water down to the seabed.

Hontomb appears to be a mass of spirits haunting an empty scabbard. The spirits form themselves into a huge razor-sharp blade to strike at others in battle.

Honpede is often spotted slowly patrolling small areas, grabbing and tossing intruders aside with its tassel. Research suggests it guards the buried bones of ancient Scolipede.

Some stories say Honrunt are the souls of warriors fallen in battle within icy plains, forever bundling themselves in a vain attempt to stave off the endless cold, and striking vindictively at all who draw near.

These strange Pokémon were first sighted lurking around the homes of village blacksmiths. They feast on scrap metal and other discarded materials during the process of forging weapons.

Said to be two spirits inhabiting the same body, Honful can strike with long-range sword swings and powerful fisticuffs. The sword sheathes within its body, causing it mild discomfort.

Honaura can sometimes be seen during snowstorms, its scarf billowing with the breeze. Some say the icy wind is pointing it towards its next worthy opponent.

Honduck wields a blade in self-defense, but its constant headaches hamper its focus in battle. As such, it makes wild, inaccurate swings in hope that one will connect with the foe.

The bladed points on its shell are extremely sensitive to its surroundings. Should something venture too close, its tassel-like tongue lashes out to grab them and drain their life force.

Doubuzz's bladed arms make it a formidable close-range opponent. Should a foe try to keep their distance, Doubuzz charges its swords up with electricity and fires arcs of lightning.

Doubgey uses the twin tassel-like tails it possesses to grab onto food, especially fruits growing on trees. Using the sharp blades at the edge of its wings, it carves the skin off the fruit before eating the sweet insides.

In battle, Doubhoot has been observed posing with its blades after any victories, pointing both swords in differing directions. Research shows the directions pointed coincide with the exact hour and minute of the battle's end.

Doubgia are the elite guardians of those who dwell outside the ocean. With twin blades in hand, they can carve land and sea apart in a furious maelstrom meant to subdue the foulest of deep-sea beasts.

With axe-like tusks, a sword in its trunk, and shield-like armor across its body, Aegiphan cuts a striking visage. Knights of old carrying an emblem in its image were said to be the most skilled and chivalrous of their era.

Aegigross appears in many tales where ancient legends say only the greatest of heroes can brave its defenses and pull the blade from its body. No records, past or present, exist of anyone successfully doing so.

Despite being comprised of refuse and adhering to dirty tactics in combat, Aegiodor prides itself in the beauty of its equipment. It keeps its weapon, armor and shield as pristine as possible, cleaning and shining them often.

Some Aegiodor become obsessed with battling, disregarding any semblance of honor in pursuit of victory. This dirtier outlook on fighting is reflected in their weaponry, dirty and worn out from lack of care.

Nidowoodo is highly territorial, hiding motionless until it spies an intruder and immediately attacks. It wipes the orbs on its limbs against its horn, smearing poison across them to make its hits more deadly.

Nidoape's aggressive tendencies are due to its own body not being completely immune to its own internal poison reserves. It seeks to poison others with its horn to relieve some of the painful pressure it feels.

Many would take a look at Pawneon's pointy body and claws and resolve to keep a distance in battle, but this would be ineffective; the extendable tongue within its mouth is also a sharp blade just ready to strike and slice opponents.

Pawnkoth is fiercely loyal to those it follows, but is lacking in energy reserves. It crawls around, stubbornly resisting its biological need to sleep constantly, yet always fails to fight off the naps in the end.

Among its own kind, Pawnrunt is rambunctious and disorderly, battling other Pawnrunt to establish dominance. Should any larger Pokémon bark an order at it, however, it obeys without question.

Haunting the most remote mountain regions, Aggrigus uses a seemingly endless reserve of sharp metal plates as reaping tools. The coffins it carries are said to hold the souls of those it has hunted down for trespassing.

It prefers to target Pokémon with tough carapaces, aiming to pierce or shatter them with its horns. These heavy charges cannot be stopped once started, so it may embed itself in a wall or ground should the target evade.

Milolord is known to be both beautiful and rather aggressive towards those it deems behaving in an ugly manner. It's primarily been seen picking fights with Gyarados and Sharpedo in this regard.

A highly-adept swimmer, Miloduck creates a rainbow trail behind it when it leaps above the water's surface. Though beautiful, witnesses to this colorful display develop strong headaches.

For a time, shed Milopoke scales were harvested to sell as glamorous accessories. This was outlawed after demand caused greedy sorts to begin harvesting them in inhumane ways.

Though technically only able to glide rather than achieving true flight, Salato still delights in the wings it grew. It's so proud, that whenever it transforms it purposely retains them while in its new shape.

Murals depicting Salaoh have been discovered in Hoenn ruins. According to these depictions, its prismatic plumage was highly valued; those possessing even a single feather were considered blessed by higher powers.

Salakyu strives to find the perfect composition for its disguise that will allow it to soar through the air. After failed attempts, it thrashes about in a petulant tantrum.

The parasite having absorbed most of its life essence, Salasect can no longer fly. Though supposedly a husk, the host's lingering rage at being denied its dream causes it to occasionally rampage indiscriminately.

A multitude of powerful gears within Klinkian give its wings and fists a tremendous amount of strength. It can maneuver in the air at fantastic speeds and throw a flurry of powerful punches in the blink of an eye.

Sometimes referred to as "The Machine Queen," Klinkqueen has influence over all mechanical Pokémon. The orb on its staff is able to power-up or power-down any technology, a power only Klinkqueen can activate.

This clockwork monstrosity is well-suited to battle against legendary leviathans. Its powered by a bottomless well of hydrothermal energy that goes haywire during droughts.

This mechanical creature is well-suited to battle against legendary titans. The artificial sun powering its engine glitches out when confronted by heavy rains.

The colored orbs indicate Klinkrona's disposition, glowing red when it becomes aggressive. In combat, fire bursts from every one of its vents, coating its body and wings in roiling flames.

Klinkodor is most often seen in scrapyards, consuming any bits of metal it comes across. With its composition being a seemingly-random assortment of junk parts, scientists are still studying how it functions at all.

Syltyke are used to help with swimming lessons and those scared of the ocean. Its ribbon-like feelers helps soothe nerves while it gently carries them along the shallow waters.

It floats around quietly, drifting towards those angry or in distress, soothing them with a touch from its ribbon-like wings. It's thought that Sylinja actually feeds on the negative emotions it siphons from others.

Overly friendly to the point of being clingy, Sylnix uses its many ribbons to wrap around other creatures, forcibly soothing them and pulling them close for lengthy amounts of cuddling time.

Nidotrum was once the apex predator of the ancient world, devouring anything smaller than it. Only after the species went extinct due to natural disasters could any other lifeforms begin to thrive again.

Considering itself a king of the ring, Nidolucha is always itching for a change to show its prodigious strength. It can easily lift and even suplex hefty foes like Snorlax or Aggron.

In ancient times, Nidororus was the fearsome patriarch of its herd. Staying watch over the young and the elderly, Pokémon foolish enough to approach would be flash-frozen by chilling winds gusted from its frills.

Nidokazam and Nidoking have a strong rivalry, competing to see if brains or brawn is more effective at leading Nidoran families. Scientific observation thus far has yet to indicate which is the superior outcome.

Nidochamp possesses enough might that just pounding its fists together creates enough force to knock over smaller creatures. It's said that it only ever considers other Nidochamp worth using its full power against.

This Pokémon fights with fists of fury like no other, burning with volcanic desire for victory. It ignites its fists, and its punches have been compared to being struck by a falling meteor.

It radiates intense heat from within the cocoon as it creates magma inside that helps induce its evolution. The molten liquid seeps through cracks as the process nears completion.

While it normally floats motionless, Grouinja quickly darts away from anything that attempts to touch the arcane symbol floating above it. Some theorize that touching the icon will trigger a horrible cataclysm.

Grourock is thought to make its home all the way down in the molten heat of the planet's core. It can fire unfathomably hot flames from the symbol on its stone fist.

Stories say a single drop of the poison in Raydle's stinger is enough to fell the mightiest of dragons. Though unsubstantiated, Dragon-type Pokémon are noticeably wary in its presence.

Rayziken descends from the skies extremely rarely, appearing only when it senses a foe worthy enough to challenge its might. In combat, it wraps its fists in flames that are said to burn with the intensity of the sun.

Raytrio carries a superficial resemblance to the Pokémon colloquially known as the Weather Trio. The tallest often has to force the other two members to cooperate instead of quarrel.

It is said that when Dialmime appears, it will use a type of time magic to assist those in need. Many stories tell of Dialmime hastening the evolution of Dragon-type Pokémon in particular.

Its control over time has distorted and become unpredictable. Without warning, technology in its vicinity may end up being replaced with its past or future equivalent.

Throughout history, Dialgrigus have appeared accompanied by mysterious apothecaries. Its appearance differs across different tales, but all stories share a common theme of helping those in need.

Historians have found scriptures which speak of Dialithe as a minor time deity. Stories say it slows time in moments of crisis, so it can save humans in need.

For the sake of a distant future, it races through time at high speeds. Some believe it is behind every major historical event, correcting humanity's path across the timeline.

A titan of legend, said to guard the time-stream from those who would disrupt it. A single blast from the water launched from its cannon is said to blast the target through the flow of time until they crash against the end of eternity.

Those put to sleep by Dialzee's abilities dream of past personal events. Dialzee consumes these dreams, and once its victim wakes they will no longer remember the eaten memory.

Gazing into the clock Dialno holds leaves one vulnerable to its hypnotic time powers. It can mentally age or de-age a person in moments, leaving many victims as mental children stuck in adult bodies or vice versa.

With the power to open up wormholes across space, Palkchan uses this ability to ensure perfect punching accuracy, thrusting its fist through portals that strike where opponents cannot defend.

Some say Giramime stand guard over portals to a distorted world. Normally amiable, those who attempt forceful entry will meet with its spectral shadow, which it pulls out from within the portal and controls with psychic strings.

While Regiape lies dormant, it pulses with near-infinite rage and strength. Mythological researchers say that should it awaken and unleash its power, a single punch could shatter the planet.

If it hits a wall during a charge, it may wind up stuck or unable to turn around quickly. In these cases, Genehorn uses the recoil from firing the cannon on its back to dislodge or reorient itself.

The markings on its torso are actually sensors, which scan foes to read their bio-signs and determine weaknesses. Once analyzed, it calibrates the cannon on its tail to fire energy tuned to be most effective on the target.

The cannon on its back has the potential to shoot out high-power water jets, but it prefers to only use lower settings to play with others. It's particularly fond of joining water gun fights with children.

Its cannon-like tail can emit short yet potent bursts of flame. The type of fire it emits can be adjusted to allow it to be more effective against an opponent.

Some say that Geneizard is a failed attempt at reverse-engineering Genesect's technology and applying it to Charizard to create a superweapon. It possesses great ferocity in battle, but can malfunction and go berserk at random.

Its three minds are meant to analyze surroundings in tandem to hasten its functions and increase its strength. Instead, the heads argue over minor discrepancies in their data, delaying the execution of its orders.

An ancient order of knights and warriors once used Reshigron as part of their iconography. A quote from surviving texts of the group reads: "To be as Reshigron, and be truth unbreakable".

Clefelgon's shell is comprised of a material composition still being researched. Preliminary analysis suggests it is spaceborne in origin, but not from any currently-observable planet.

Clefduck spends most evenings stargazing, staring at the moon in particular. It seems less afflicted by its painful headaches while it does this.

Clefpoke is absentminded and playful normally, but goes through a shift in personality on the eve of full moons. It clings to others and whines, seeking comfort for a sudden surge of loneliness.

Zekmagius possesses potent dark magic capabilities, casting lightning spells with a flick of its hand. A strange and eerie laugh can be faintly heard for a moment after the electricity dissipates.

Zeklade's tail can generate power that electrifies the blades in its elbows. It only fights for causes it deems righteous, cutting down evil opponents with strikes as quick as lightning.

Drifbkoal lowers itself into urban areas and lets humans throw their waste into its burning basket. The garbage fuels the flame to burn stronger for a time and let it continue staying afloat.

Generally docile, care must be taken not to take Lopffy by surprise; its first response is to hastily swing its large ears at whatever spooked it while focusing its internal electricity along the tips.

Lopape is a timid Pokémon, but is deceptively strong as well. If startled, it can hit a foe with a powerful blow from its fists or ears, but will run away and hide immediately after the strike connects.

It makes its home in aquatic areas with high algae content. Breras dispenses spores from its head, easing seasickness and stress in the passengers it ferries when they're inhaled.

Ninkhan are deceptively fast and quiet when moving compared to their size. Should any Nincada be mistreated in their territory, the culprit will find themself beset by a furious Ninkhan in the blink of an eye.

Impossibly fast and possessing impossibly sharp limbs, Ninther's image is highly memorable. Its form is popular enough to inspire the creation of a rival character in a TV franchise featuring Lokix-themed superheroes.

It has absolute loyalty to its Trainer, following its orders quickly and efficiently. Historical tales of Kanto and Johto speak of high-rank officials employing Ninvoir for clandestine missions.

Early reports of Nininja's existence were thought to be hallucinations, as it moves so quickly and silently it seems to simply vanish. Nincada hide when it is near, though none are yet sure why.

Possessing boundless energy and incredible speeds, Ninroth is a whirling dervish of slashes and claws in battle. Even when sleeping, its body refuses to remain still.

Ninsian is beloved by homeowners for its capacity to swiftly and silently hunt small pests. "A house with a Ninsian is a house without vermin" has even become something of a slogan for those who own one.

Ninby hunts in areas where fish are commonly seen leaping from the water. With its extreme speed, it can make quick leaps across the ponds or rivers, skewering a fish with its claws to secure a meal.

Roaldo has earned quite a sour reputation for hanging around gas stations and pretending to offer a refueling, so that it can instead siphon the fuel from people's cars. No one is sure what it does with the siphoned fuel.

When possessing electronics with screens, Roskull makes the objects flash spooky imagery in order to prank others. Ironically, the sound of screams will scare it out of its possession.

Rodon uses unprecedented levels of electricity to devastate and reshape the land. Its arcs of lightning are powerful enough to split the earth's crust, or stimulate magma deep underground to cause eruptions.

The discovery of Clefor has made waves among the scientific community that believes in the Clefable line having origins in space. On full moon nights, it radiates a strange cosmic aura.

The fluff behind Whimsiful is excessive amounts of stuffing that has formed into a soft cushion behind it. Many young children enjoy resting against the plush softness like a pillow.

In ancient times, the highest-ranking of pharaohs were granted Cofagron as the guardians of their tombs. Its thick golden armor is nigh impenetrable, and it is merciless in how it treats potential grave-robbers.

Litbone resides in dark areas, hiding away in corners to avoid contact with others. The only exception is lost children, who find themselves guided to safety by the light of Litbone's candle.

When it spins rapidly, its limbs fling hot melted wax that singe targets. Those burned by the wax are said to be marked by Litop, so that it can find them and drain their life force no matter where they go.

Litki happily clutches its gathered keys, but its waxy limbs cannot hold them for long, eventually dripping to the ground. It panics and scrambles to pick them back up to calm itself, starting the cycle anew.

Litmask floats eerily in old abandoned mansions, a melted wax core within flickering flames. Should it meet a Trainer, the flames will mold the wax into a facsimile of the human's face, twisted in an expression of fear.

Litrunt appears to be fossilized remains reanimated by haunted candle wax. With every breath it flares up a flickering flame from its nose; the larger the flame the more aggressive its current mood.

A friendly creature of the night, Litbish has trouble finding homes due to the stench it emanates being akin to burning refuse. It mostly finds company in small insects drawn to its flames and its odor.

Litkoal is only spotted at night near volcanic areas, casting ethereal smoke from its flames. It must feed quickly, as its waxy body will harden and become immobile if outside its shell for too long.

Litly's body is made of ethereal flames produced by a wax-like core. Should something douse the main fire, the core will jump to one of the other flames and flee until it fully ignites.

Lamptata's light emits a faint illumination that other Rattata find irresistible, flocking after the hypnotic light. Trainers have begun using it to lure out pests from areas with rodent infestations.

Lamplett wants to be helpful to travelers that find themselves lost among dark caverns by helping illuminate their surroundings. Its tendency to suddenly appear from beneath the ground near people tends to startle them, though.

Golubone are thought to be the last remnants of a civilization lost to time. They wander across the world, longing to find even a trace of their kin's history.

It is assumed Golusey were created by an ancient civilization to serve as caretakers for the sick. It creates egg-shaped medicinal capsules from within its body that are thought to combat any disease.

Goluto was thought to be an ancient civilization's attempt at making guardians able to transform to face any attacker. The eons have degraded its physical form and transformation capabilities.

Golusharp is thought to have been created by an ancient warrior culture. The myriad blades on its body can be detached to be used as handheld weapons or projectiles.

It is thought that Golukazam may possess perfect memory of the lost civilization it supposedly originated from. If so, none so far have chosen to communicate the secrets of these ancient histories.

Goluduo makes its homes among the deserts, constantly and diligently refilling its cracked, leaking body with sand. It's presumed that should its body be fully emptied, it would cease functioning.

As it floats, it creates small will-o'-the-wisps from its pores. It enjoys manipulating these floating fires into different shapes and patterns to entertain itself and others.

Vulgey are a curious sort, often helping Trainers ignite campfires with their flame breath. Once lit, it will chirp and sing a tune that matches the crackle and flicker of the fire.

Its small body has not yet managed to properly regulate its fiery potential. Small fiery sparks may burst from Vulchu's body if startled or during moments of intense emotion.

The trio of furry spheres on either of Vulwoodo's hands let it create and control fire. It flings these fireballs wildly in battle, favoring quantity over accuracy.

Generally shy and skittish, if backed into a corner, Vultata will fling hot sparks from the tips of its three tails in defense, singeing its would-be attacker before escaping.

Vultler defends itself by conjuring orbs of fire from within its antlers. Skittish by nature, if Vultler allows one to pet its multiple tails, it is a sign of true trust.

It trains both to better control its fire powers and its physical strength. Through this training it has begun to master the art of striking with flaming fists and feet.

Vulchu's cute appearance made it a popular pet choice when it was first discovered. However, a moody disposition coupled with its powers of fire and electricity has soured its reputation in that regard.

It gets rid of excess heat by igniting the trio of fluffs on its head before launching the flames upward. Sometimes it makes small pyrotechnic shows for its friends using this ability.

When frightened, Vulshrew curls into a ball and lets its tails stand straight up. These tails fling fireballs indiscriminately in all directions until it feels the coast is clear.

Vulrina forms strong bonds with other Pokémon, growing attached and protective rather quickly. If it senses danger, it won't hesitate to fling multitudes of fireballs from its tail to guard those it cares for.

Traits of its evolution have begun to spring up in Vulpix, creating more tails and granting it more power. It has a composed and regal demeanor, even as it burns away opponents in battle.

Vulnx is able to create floating orbs that mix elements of fire and lightning together, making for a potent combination in-battle. It is feisty and a bit uppity in personality, making it difficult to train.

By heating up its body, Vuluk creates floating bubbles that it uses for defense. When popped, the bubbles spray their super-heated sludgy contents, stunning foes with burns and the putrid stench.

Pyukuther dispels a portion of its innards outward, tethered to itself to be swung like a whip. A strange reaction to the air causes the innards to develop a sharp film on one side, allowing it to be wielded like a scythe.

Klefing gathers up keys until it has attached one to each of its rings. When fully equipped, it lets out fumes from its face in joy. This smoke smells of rust, copper and other metals.

People often accuse Klefto of stealing their keys, but it only uses its malleable body to mimic their shapes. Unfortunately, it gets the finer details wrong, so none of its imitations work as substitutes for the missing keys.

A strange and enigmatic being, Klefdoom appears in rarely-documented Kalosian folklore. In these tales, it is said that each of its keys opens a doorway to different levels of the underworld.

Introverted by nature, Klefmander often holds its flame-tipped tail close, seeking comfort in the warmth it provides. Trainers have found the sound of jingling keys can also help soothe its nerves.

If threatened, Klefduo will scrape its key-like appendages together to make an annoying metal noise to deter predators. If the foe persists, it uses those same limbs in battle to cut and bludgeon its opponent.

When approaching Klefeel, be wary of its reaction: clapping with its front flippers signifies a friendly and playful mood, but the clacking of the keys on its tail is a sign of wariness and aggression.

When flapped at high speeds, Talonfree's wings release a burning pollen made of tiny embers. It preys on small insects and birds by pinning them with its talons and cooking them with the heat from its wings.

Mimikrow sets up decoy facsimiles of itself to confuse those it wishes to ambush. As its target stumbles to avoid the fakes scattered around, the real one sneaks up and swipes any shiny valuables it can.

On occasion, Mimikrow may find itself gathering a flock of loyal Murkrow following it. The confused Mimikrow then spends much of its time returning the stolen goods the Murkrow give to it as offerings.

Mimiki goes around dark alleyways and offers passersby its custom-made keys...for a price. The price is to be its friend and play with it for an hour per key.

Its cells end up igniting while changing during the morphing process, so Volcato's transformations always emerge engulfed in flames before it snuffs out the fire.

In combat, Volcachu nimbly races around opponents, shedding small faintly-burning bits of pollen across the battlefield and foes. These particles contain faint electrical charges and create devastating chain lightning when zapped.

It spreads tiny scales from its wings across the battlefield as it leaps and flies about. At any given point, it can make these scattered scales erupt into flames of aura to help control the battlefield.

Volcatula spins heat-resistant webbing that can stand up to even the temperatures inside volcanoes. It strictly hunts and consumes Fire-type Pokémon, particularly the Slugma family.

Volcalem makes its home on volcanic mountains, typically near the summit. It's strongest move involves tucking inward and igniting its whole body, turning it into a rolling boulder of flames.

The warm pollen it spreads from Volcano's flapping wings carries hypnotic capabilities that put its targets into a trance. The spiral patterns swirl faintly while it casts its spell.

Deifree cannot see, but uses its antennae to sense its surroundings. It spreads a powder from its wings to blind others so they don't interfere with its hunt for nectar.

Deicross is blind, relying on its antennae to help it sense changes in its surroundings. Between the antenna's sensitivity and its sense of smell, it can easily sniff out the most sap-rich trees to gorge on.

Deilia loves to dance, but due to vision impairment it's rather clumsy and trips over or bumps into things mid-dance. Nobody has ever seen Deilia commit a full dance routine without incident.

It grows its hair out to blind itself purposely, due to an extreme light sensitivity. Even the faintest bit of illumination hitting its eyes will give it a headache.

Though it has powerful pyrotechnic potential, Ninets has a gentle disposition and rarely wishes to use the full extent of its fire power. It prefers using it for simple entertaining displays akin to fireworks.

Scientists hypothesize that the unique DNA of both Mew and Deoxys might lead to breakthroughs on the origin of extraterrestrial life. By studying Deoew thoroughly, they hope to make great strides towards first contact with another world.

Its DNA was polluted during the fusion process, leaving it unable to maintain a consistent shape. It constantly tries to consume new DNA in a vain attempt to become stable again.

Many devious sorts sought to poach Jimie, believing its core held wish-granting powers. As a result, it rarely is seen in the wild, and blinds those who find it with spectral flashes so it may flee.

Jitar's rare appearances come heralded by sandstorms made of stardust, generated from its core. Due to greedy people seeking it out for the valuable material, it actively avoids human contact.

Jiedo jets through the waters and even into the air at high speeds, leaving behind a trail of something resembling stardust. It's thought that if it wanted, it could fling itself into space and swim through the galaxy.

Ninon plods along the ground, prodding at the dirt for nutrients and oblivious to potential dangers. This is due to its carapace being so heavy and sturdy that nothing in its natural habitat is strong enough to prey on it.

It uses its antennae to search for nutrient-rich soil to bury itself in. Once fully submerged, it absorbs nutrients from the dirt around it, helping expedite its evolutionary process.

The feelers bordering Ninkey's nose let it sense the health of trees to determine which are growing the tastiest fruits. It flies into a rage if its feelers are tugged on.

Ninfetchd uses its stick to dig up dirt to find good patches of soil from which to gain nutrients. Its digging efforts stir the soil enough to assist in plant growth around its home areas.

Constantly honing its control over aura powers has given it a new technique: Riorogue can fire short range aura projectiles at its foes following a punch or kick attack.

It flares a flame-like aura around its body whenever it gets angry. Due to its bad temperament, this aura is nearly constant on Riokey.

It has strong aura potential even at this stage, but hasn't fully grasped its usage yet. Riopoke creates and bursts orbs of aura energy simply because it thinks they look pretty.

Because its metabolism is so slow, Slapod takes an inordinate amount of time to evolve. It hides itself deep in trees to wait out the weeks to months it may take to emerge from its shell.

Its wings are always tucked close to its body, and it has never been seen in flight. Closer inspection has revealed that thanks to its lazy, sedentary lifestyle, its wings have atrophied from lack of use.

With a simple mind and a lazy disposition, Slaper are very easy to catch in the wild. Many have even been simply picked up and carried home by Trainers without a Poké Ball. Slaper offers no resistance and simply adapts to their new home.

Slasel enjoys spending the majority of its life sleeping in peace. It can move remarkably fast if startled, if only to flee somewhere safe to resume napping.

Though it has a creative and artistic mindset, Slagle lacks in motivation and energy. It can only push itself to do one or two brush strokes a day, so completed art can take weeks or even months.

Slabok lazily rakes the claw-like tip of its tail through the grass, picking up nuts and seeds for it to snack on. Staring at Slabok's facial markings for too long will induce drowsiness.

Slalax is almost never seen awake, to the point that it sleepwalks to perform other functions while slumbering. Even eating and battling are done while Slalax sleeps and snores the day away.

When first observed in the wild, researchers were shocked to see Slalia dancing about and full of energy. Further investigation revealed it dances while asleep in a manner akin to sleepwalking; it's quite lethargic when awake.

It possesses most of Slaking's power, but none of its temper. It is considered "weaker" by virtue of seemingly nothing being able to rile it enough to truly apply its strength to.

Slaish lazily sits around in flower patches soaking up sun and moonlight. It digs a hole and submerges most of its body in the dirt to hibernate once winter rolls around.

Slaras lazes around tree trunks eating fungi and molds. The mushrooms growing on its back are valued as an ingredient for medicinal sleep aids.

Extremely sedentary, Slalow is rarely seen airborne, perching on a single branch for most of its life. A few small bugs or a single berry will keep its hunger satisfied for a month.

Slakey is actually quite territorial, but also too lazy to do much of anything about intruders in its territory. The most it manages is making indignant huffing noises until the interloper leaves.

Slachop's training sessions are lackluster, consisting of short walks and lifting small rocks to keep its muscles active. Despite the low-effort training, it's stronger than it seems.

It will aggressively lick anything that it comes across, tasting it and marking it with its saliva. Because of its overactive body functions, its tongue never dries out no matter how long it remains out of its mouth.

Vigosey is incredibly eager to help tend to the sick or injured, but its appearance combined with hyperactive tendencies often causes more harm than healing.

Vigokhan is insanely protective of its young, flying into a defensive flurry at even the faintest hint of possible aggression. Despite the frantic motions, the child stays asleep through all its parent's antics.

Easily excitable, Vigofree flaps its wings incredibly fast when overly stimulated. It is a common sight to see it blow away flowers it wishes to consume because it got too excited when getting close.

Vigother's lanky limbs allow it a flexible reach in battle, flailing its arms around wildly to club and claw opponents into unconsciousness. In rare moments of placidity, said limbs also allow it to give surprisingly nice hugs.

Vigoros is in a constant state of energized rampage, charging head-long towards anything that catches its eye. It only stops when it ends up charging into something solid enough to knock itself unconscious.

It uses the claw-like appendage on its head to dig holes in the dirt to hide in. Vigoret enjoys surprising passersby by popping out of its hole and "waving" its claw at them playfully.

It scrapes its claws along tree trunks in order to burn off energy. Because it is so hyperactive, trees in areas with Vigowoodo presence are often all but stripped bare of their bark.

Vigosire dives deep into muddy waters and digs into the mucky bottom to create tunnels to hide itself in. It may even create tunnel networks between nearby bodies of water if given enough time.

Vigocross is always eagerly searching for sweet sap to taste, digging into trees with its claws. Its overeager nature means it often tears away too much of a tree's trunk in search of sap and causes the tree to fall.

Vigophan runs wild across the plains, trumpeting constantly. It's thought that it's attempting to create music, but its overly energetic nature results in atonal, discordant songs that repel listeners.

Vigolia enjoys dancing for others, but its hyperactive nature causes its dances to be unfocused and disorienting to most observers. It sulks and runs off if not applauded for its efforts.

Because its body is so hyperactive, Vigoeon has little to no control over its color change ability. Its constantly changing hues shift in an almost psychedelic pattern that can disorient friends and foes alike.

Vigowile's massive jaws are highly impulsive and react on instinct, chomping wildly at the mere scent of food in its vicinity. It takes considerable effort on the main body's part to reign it in once it gets going.

It is considered highly dangerous due to having Slaking's strength with Vigoroth's inability to calm down. Even vicious and territorial Pokémon flee when Vigoking is seen rabidly charging through the area.

Vigojask is perpetually in motion, flying around in random haphazard patterns to burn off a limitless supply of energy. Even the few moments it spends sleeping, its body still vibrates and its wings still twitch.

In order to intimidate, Vigotuff inflates its body before exhaling, waving its arms about while hooting wildly. For most, this has the opposite effect and makes it look rather comical instead.

Vigosect leaps around frantically from tree to tree, spreading its spores. If inhaled, these spores induce hyperactivity and aggression in those affected, lasting a few hours before they collapse from exhaustion.

Vigoduck's metabolism has hypercharged its psychic powers to the point of overwhelming its mind. It waddles around in a daze, its telekinesis uncontrollably lifting and flinging things around it without it even noticing.

An overabundance of stamina means it's all but impossible for Vigora to remain in one place. It teleports around constantly, seemingly at random, just to burn off excess psychic energy.

Vigoduo raises its arms high so the eyes on its limbs can give it a better view of its surroundings. If it spots something interesting, it makes speedy leaps and bounds to hunt down the object of intrigue.

If it concentrates hard enough, Shiba can use its electricity to make the spots on its back light up. Groups of them playfully compare flashing patterns and colors when gathering together.

Shirak's webbing contains a faint electrical charge that causes it to glow in the dark. This light attracts insects into the webbing at night, allowing it to capture plenty of potential meals.

Although it often appears to be a single lopsided individual, Lucute is a clutch of six separate pieces. They move as one singular unit to better combine their electricity powers for defense.

The size of the sparking flame on Lumander's tail indicates how much electric power it has in reserve. It channels this electricity into its claws, or for short bursts of lightning breath.

Jigglybone sings slow, plaintive songs into the microphone it carries. Those that fall asleep to the song dream of happy times with family.

Jigglytu pecks at trees with hollow points to determine which will grant it the best reverb. Once it finds a suitable hole to hop into, it sings short songs and enjoys the echo it gains.

Unlike many other Jigglypuff fusions, Jigglyking wants others to fall asleep during its concert performance. It gets angry and violent towards anyone still awake when it finishes singing.

Jigglyish waddles through grasslands, doing nothing in particular besides absorbing sunlight. If it stores up enough sunlight, it can fire beams of solar energy from its single eye.

Its color and fuzzy appearance make it quite popular with young girls. It prefers lingering in areas with low light, singing soft little songs that put itself and others at ease.

Jigglynix digs large tunnels all through its cavernous homes to make for better acoustics for its music. Its song echoes through every chamber of the cave, putting every other creature to sleep so it may roam freely.

Arpy acts as a sort of big sibling to young Aron or Phanpy in the wild. Quick on its feet and with a sturdy iron coating, it can easily take on Pokémon that would otherwise trouble the others.

Its heavy, sturdy body means that it cannot jump very far on its own power. It digs through and consumes soft soil for nutrients that keep its shell strong and resilient.

Its heavy weight makes flying difficult, so it climbs and sticks to walls using the iron spikes on the inside of its wings. They also help make for effective slaps against enemies in self-defense.

It pants lightly when exerted, a small tongue barely visible as a sign of tiredness. The metal shell around its head makes the sound echo and come out as a baritone heaving noise that tends to inadvertently scare smaller Pokémon.

These durable Pokémon have been seen living and working together to guard select mountain ranges from trespassers. Observation indicates they communicate through a complex combination of fist-bumps and headbutts.

The shell around Lairelgon, created to aid its evolution, is thought to be impervious. Its durability would make for fine metalwork, but none so far have been able to shave or chip off even the tiniest piece of the material.

When it spots something tasty-looking, Traphorn charges forward, gnashing its large jaws in anticipation of a meal. Because of its stubby legs, however, its top speed is rather slow.

Traptini scurries across the desert, taking shelter in crevasses and staying away from the open sands. If forced to retreat, it can shed its skin as a last-ditch distraction, though this leaves it quite weakened for a time afterward.

Traptu tends to stand motionless and stare off into the distance, but is far more attentive than it appears. Anything that attempts to sneak up on it will find it quickly turning and lunging to give them a nasty bite.

Though Trapeon lacks a tongue, its curled-up tail is extendable and contains a mouth of its own. Trapeon hides beneath the sand to leap out and let its tail grab prey and hoist it into its maw.

Trapiard enjoys using its pointed arms to draw shapes in the sands of its desert home. Sometimes it will draw a picture of food, and then take a big bite of the imaginary meal.

It regularly adds small bits of stone and dirt to its meals when it eats. The minerals get stored within its tail, and can be shot from the dust storm at its tip as a means of self-defense.

Those that gaze into Trapmask's strange jewel find themselves compelled to step closer, entranced by something within that draws them nearer, and closer to its powerful jaws.

Traplucha's powerful jaws are its greatest asset in the ring. With the power of its bite it can pin, grapple, and even throw around opponents with ease.

Trapturne swallows large amounts of sand to store within its body. When it needs to defend itself, it propels the spines on its body via releasing torrents of sand from the pores beneath them.

The three heads work in tandem to quickly dig out tunnels with their jaws. Because these jaws are so powerful, Traptrio can dig through solid stone walls other cave-diggers cannot.

It retains the same expression on its face, making it difficult to ascertain its mood at a glance, but when happy, Trapeel will form the shape of a tail with sand and clap with joy.

Its maw can open up wide to allow it to consume large quantities of dirt at a time. Construction companies have taken to using Trapnix to help dig and reshape plots of land for development.

Forming wings earlier than expected has given Trapinch more mobility, and a stronger appetite. It flies through the air, chomping wildly as it consumes flying insects.

Feesly has a sullen and downtrodden personality, with a posture to match. Its low self-esteem means it becomes fiercely loyal and attached to those who show it genuine kindness and affection.

It tries to play with others, but is often bullied away for its shoddy appearance. It's unfathomably loyal to those who look past its exterior and treat it with kindness.

Though it is simpleminded and weak offensively, Feelord is surprisingly hardy, resisting harm from both predators and harsh environments. It often shields smaller Pokémon from harm by letting them hide in its mouth.

Feeblim achieves greater elevations by sucking in massive amounts of air to bloat its body. Holding its breath for too long causes it visible distress.

Its singing is atonal and discordant, but manages to make others fall asleep all the same. While its victim slumbers, Feepuff will vandalize their face, to make them look as shabby as it does.

Due to its ugly appearance and Drifloon's reputation, children are warned against going near Feeloon. It has no ill motives however; all Feeloon wishes for is to be held by a happy child.

Feedisc often leaps from the water into the arms of couples it spots, wanting to cheer on their blossoming love. Unfortunately, its shoddy appearance often leads to it being tossed back into the depths.

Those that have witnessed Feegar have regarded it as utterly horrifying to behold. This has given it incredibly low self-esteem, as it is not trying to be scary in the least.

Bapie crawls onto the top of branches carrying berries, headbutting them until the treat falls to the forest floor. It then divebombs head-first to the ground after it, the tough shell on its cranium protecting it from the impact.

Its jealousy towards flying Pokémon has turned to aggression. If it spies one flying above its waters, it will launch itself from the water at high speed in an attempt to headbutt them out of the sky.

It wants to fly without the use of shapeshifting, launching its gelatinous body from great heights as practice. Fortunately its soft form makes the impact with the ground painless.

With enhanced intellect thanks to the biting shell upon its skull, Baking sees the folly of leaping off cliffs in vain hopes of flight. It now spends time pondering less self-destructive ways of achieving its dream.

Its shell has grown thick and sturdy from constant attempts to fly, giving it strong defenses. The shell's growth has now obscured its vision, however, making it a bit clumsy.

It looks gelatinous at a glance, but Shelto is actually coated with a thin yet sturdy shell around its soft insides. A transformation unlike its shapeshifting capabilities is taking place within.

The segments of Shelix's body rotate in sequence from tail to head. When the rotation speeds up rapidly, it's a sign that its evolution is imminent.

The key on its back can be wound to increase Klichu's electric powers in battle, but caution is needed; winding it too much will cause it to overload and uncontrollably send jolts of lightning all around it.

Klimory's heavy body and stiff movements make flying nearly impossible for it. It's blade-like wings can be fired off as projectiles that will return to Klimory's body after use.

Klitler tries to prance daintily through the forest, but most onlookers describe its movements as strange and uncanny. Odd radio waves seem to emanate from its metallic antlers at night.

Its movement is stiff and slow, but it is determined and persistent. If it chooses to bite at something, it will pursue them no matter the time or distance it takes, until its jaws clamp around its chosen target.

A very unfortunate Pokémon, Kliduck's gears must turn in order to generate the energy needed to live, but every turn of the gears distorts its cranium and causes excruciating headaches.

Some have tried to remove the gears from within the gooey sludge, but learned this is detrimental to Kliuk's health; without the sludge, the gears are unable to turn, and it could perish if separated too long.

A pair of floating spectral gears that tend to haunt abandoned factories, it's said that Klitly are the spirits of broken-down machines left to linger around their former homes.

As the gears of its body turn, crackling electricity can be seen within the orb on its tail, an indicator of its current energy level. The gears never stop turning completely, even when Klareep sleeps.

Scientists theorize Klasire has enough power in its body to take itself to orbit under its own power. It instead prefers to hover around quiet lake areas and stare at its reflection in the water.

Its internal furnace is always creating new flames, fueled towards whichever head is actively in attack mode. In times of desperation Kladoom can burn with both heads, but it risks depleting its reserves completely should it do so.

The rotation of its frontal gears subtly stimulates the airwaves in front of Klabok, causing disorientation in those within range. Once stunned by this display, Klabok can coil around and crush its targets with ease.

Klapiny will turn the gear on its chest in order to boost its energy and mood, becoming dour if it hasn't charged itself in a while. The gears on its head turn along with the one on its body, but appear to serve no function.

Klatula's gears carry a faint residue that allow it to cling to surfaces, even when vertical or inverted. Be cautious if you find tracks left by Klatula; the residue it leaves behind is mildly charged with static electricity.

Klaki is a popular companion for various handymen due to its tendency to collect tools and link them to itself. It collects so many items indiscriminately that it often gets confused when asked to provide a specific tool, however.

The gears have meshed together in an unorthodox fashion. As a result, Klaink may occasionally get its gears stuck mid-turn, halting functionality until it or another fixes the issue.

Though its actual capabilities are only moderate, Klarunt vainly considers itself the pinnacle of machinery. Should someone imply otherwise, it angrily spits high-velocity gears at the detractor in petty defiance.

The oddly-arranged machine Pokémon occasionally separates itself before rearranging the three units' positions. It's thought that the differing arrangements help Klaton focus on specific functions like battling or computing.

It instinctively hangs from high branches in order to avoid predators. Unfortunately, the flame on the end of its tail often burns through a branch before its evolution is complete, causing it to fall to the forest floor and become vulnerable.

Charpom's mischievous nature has given it a reputation as a menace. It picks up objects with its tail, igniting them before throwing them at passersby as a rather dangerous prank.

Charckle has begun to gain popularity in colder regions, as the berry juice created within its shell is piping hot, making it excellent for creating a warm beverage to counter the cold temperatures.

It flares up the flame from the lighter it carries in order to dissuade others from pilfering its keys. People often keep it around to help them light campfires and the like.

Some old tales say that if all nine of a Chartales's tail-flames are extinguished at once, it will perish. These legends claim the Chartales's soul will curse the one responsible, haunting them to their final days.

Its fiery spirit makes it train constantly to hone its muscles. As it grows in strength, the flame on its tail burns more intensely.

Its appearance of being engulfed in fire is its natural state, the flames on its body providing a potent deterrent to predators. Dousing the flame will not harm it, but will leave it weak and defenseless.

Charpoke often forgets the flame on its tail is a part of itself. Running from its own tail or accidentally burning itself with it are common occurrences.

Friendly by nature, Charnix often approaches travelers resting inside caves and offers them its large body for both warmth and protection. It even offers its tail-flame to use for cooking food, as long as it gets a small share.

Each of Charby's claws can produce short bursts of flame. It uses these flames to cook captured prey and for territorial disputes.

Wigglyto is a popular companion for budding artists and artisans, letting others mold its malleable body into a shape before it transforms into the object proper, allowing the artist to see how accurate their molding was.

Wigglynite love nothing more than to be pillows for people to sleep against. It's said there is no more pleasant a sleep than one experienced while being cradled by a Wigglynite.

Beloved for its soft body and luxurious fur, Wigglyret has been seen draped around the necks of famous stars at high-profile events. Due to this, owning a Wigglyret is seen as something of a status symbol.

With its large mouth and elastic body, Wigglybat can puff up before releasing extremely loud song-like cries. It's believed it may rival Exploud in reaching dangerously extreme decibel levels.

Wielding two microphones, it sings a different kind of song into either depending on its mood. In battle, it sings into both to cause powerful sound waves from the harsh feedback.

Wigglychoke's inflatable body gives it the ability to appear as large and muscular as it wants. Those not intimidated by the display will find it does nothing to enhance its actual middling level of physical strength.

Burow behaves well as long as it receives a good dose of morning sunlight each day. If denied its daily sunbeams, it turns surly and squawks grumpily at anything that comes near.

In the warmer months, Bunub closes its bud and becomes less active. Once the cooler months return, the flower blooms and spreads a snow-like pollen as it scurries around.

Curling and uncurling its ears lets it create a different pitch of sound when it expels smoke from its nostrils. Bunkoal will "sing" to others using this ability when it feels content.

Shroomcruel buries itself in soil throughout most of the day. If bothered, it raises itself up to full height with its hidden tentacles to scare off the intruder.

It looks malevolent, but Shuptly is actually a lonely spirit in search of companionship. It often resorts to hypnotizing people, assuming few would be friendly to it because of its appearance.

The strange liquid it floats in is all Solofisk can survive in, as it becomes sickly if placed on land or in normal water. It uses psychic abilities to interact with the world outside its container.

Soloduck floats around placidly, trying to avoid contact with others. This is because anything stimulating its gelatinous exterior gives the core body a splitting headache.

Cottonat is fidgety, hopping around quickly to scrounge food and shedding clouds of fluff in self-defense. Its regularly-shed fur can be processed and used as a cheap alternative to cotton products.

It uses ultrasonic waves to sense prey before charging. Due to its limited intellect, it often runs right past its target and into a cavern wall instead.

It hangs upside down from trees or cavern ceilings while waiting for its body to finish evolution. It hastens the process by consuming any small creatures that fly too close to its mouth.

Despite being blind, Zufa can innately sense the presence of moonlight. They congregate in caves where moonlight seeps through the cracks, dancing together with curious, wistful cries.

It waddles around blindly in search of something to bite. It seems like hunting behavior, but Zupi's fangs contain a substance that induces mild euphoria in those bitten; it wishes to share this joy with others.

Zusparce uses its tail to dig into the walls and ceilings of caves it inhabits. Once it senses potential prey moving in front of its hiding place, it launches out of the hole to sink its fangs into a new victim.

It uses the sound-waves from rattling its tail to alert other Zuans in the vicinity of prey approaching. The sound of dozens of Zuans rattling simultaneously will frighten and confuse prey, making them easier for the swarm to take down.

The four fangs within its mouth are retractable. It uses four wings to swoop quickly and engulf prey whole, before the fangs extend and pierce from all sides, skewering them and drinking the blood that flows forth.

Zuleep consumes bugs, inhaling them into its mouth and closing its petals while it eats. While fairly docile and easy to raise, owners should still be careful as it will bite if agitated.

With its echolocation and naturally sharp senses, Zusol can locate lost or injured travelers inside even the deepest, darkest caverns. Unfortunately, its frightening appearance often sends those it wishes to rescue into a panic.

Its body is rather heavy, so it can only fly under its own power for short amounts of time. Its cry has a metallic reverb to it, which is thought to adversely affect its own echolocation capability.

Zuhita picks fights with larger Pokémon as a form of training. As it tires, it bites and drinks the blood of its opponent to boost its energy, so the fight can go on for even longer.

It is believed that what looks to be its body is merely a spiritual extension of a haunted soul trapped in the shell. Some say the shell uncovers this Pokémon's true eyes to glare at those that have committed terrible deeds in a past life.

Folklore says that should one come across a Yatler at night, gaze only into the mask, for gazing into its eye will show one the moment of their death.

Joldle lacks strong poison, instead using the stinger on its tail to deliver a potent jolt to any would-be attackers. It takes some time to recover its electric power after a single sting, however.

Jolgey releases static electricity from its feet to jolt and stun small insects and other creatures to eat. Its chirps have a distinctly static-like tone to them.

A prankster with mild electric abilities, Joldreavus will swing its fuzzy hair like tendrils and smack others, discharging enough voltage to give them lingering tingling discomfort. It then giggles at their mild inconvenience and floats away.

It feeds on static electricity, but is fearful of painful repercussions from larger prey. Because of this, it clings to children to take theirs, ironically earning the ire of their parents.

The sticky webbing between Joltler's antlers is used to catch a bevy of small insects. Joltler itself doesn't eat them but offers them to other Pokémon in exchange for being able to suck static electricity from them.

Jolax lazily spins webs to rest in and hope that food gets caught before it wakes, abandoning the web if this tactic fails. People leave spare food in its webs to keep it from causing a mess by creating too many additional ones.

Jolia spins silky threads from its hands as it dances, forming webs in elegant motion. Artistically-inclined Trainers enjoy comparing the web patterns made by their Jolia.

Jolcada stays near tree roots, gathering nutrients from the soil while waiting for evolution. Should anything disturb it, it flaps its wings rapidly, creating showers of electric sparks around it.

Jolbat aggressively flies at targets, aiming to feast on blood. The amount of blood it consumes to be full is so minuscule, people regard it as harmless aside from the slight pinch of its bite.

Timid by nature, Jolish hides underground and hopes the weak electric charge in its leaves will dissuade others from bothering it. If plucked from the dirt regardless, it cries tiny sparks from its eyes.

It hoards shiny objects it finds, charging them with static electricity to keep thieves from stealing its collection. If it takes something from you, only careful negotiation will earn your item back without being shocked.

The webs that Jolmer creates are incredibly sticky and rather viscous. The layer of goop-like film around the threads helps conduct electricity, letting it more easily shock prey into submission.

Joltly haunts households in order to steal its nourishment from the victims within. It feasts on static electricity, so it's harmless to the residents aside from faint static noises and one's hair standing on end at times.

Jolzee puts large swaths of targets to sleep so it can more easily take static electricity from their bodies to feast on. The victims being fed on often report dreaming of spiders, lightning, or some combination thereof.

Though it prefers to remain motionless at all times, Ferrowoodo can defend itself by throwing the spiked orbs on its hands akin to shuriken. The thrown orbs grow back in a few hours.

The whisker-like protrusions are actually a pair of proboscis pointed enough to dig into solid stone. It clings to cave walls, digs into the rock and siphons minerals from within for its nutrition.

In order to ensure its safety while it evolves, Ferroelgon evolved spikes as well as a durable shell around it. However, the extra defenses cause its evolution process to take longer than a normal Shelgon.

Its spiky and robust body gives it adequate defenses, yet it still possesses a jumpy temperament. It leaves small pointed spikes behind as it flees, discouraging a hunter's continued pursuit.

It uses the large horn on its head to carve markings into trees, denoting things such as areas with dangerous predators or particularly lush food stores. Should the horn snap off, a new one grows back in a week.

When ejected, Axemuku's innards sharpen in response to exposure to the air. It uses them as a hacking weapon in battle, but also to chop at low-hanging tree branches to make fruits and berries fall.

Golebat can be observed flying set paths within the caverns it calls home, as if on patrol. It can stun and confuse attackers by flashing lights from the symbols on its wings and chest.

Urban areas are seeing an uptick in Fletchtata populations, particularly in Unova. Friendly and prone to singing cute songs amongst its siblings, Fletchtata has become a popular pet.

With both its wings and legs still developing, Fletchta exhibits a bit of a complex, displaying aggressive behavior. It snorts out steam and spits flame at anybody it sees, attempting to pick fights.

Larvto's normal form is soft and heated, described as being like warm gelatin. When transforming, it cocoons itself in flames before the fire bursts and reveals its morphed state.

Larvgey has become popular as a pet due to its soft and warm plumage and a tendency to cozy up to other, larger beings. It creates tiny flames when it chirps and sings to others.

Larvmask floats around the deserts surrounding ancient tombs, clutching strange artifacts. During the day, it can hold the artifact aloft to channel the sun's energy and enhance its flame powers in battle.

Larvolett has been discovered within ruins within short distances of dormant volcanoes. Researchers theorize that old civilizations may have used them as warning signs, as it grows restless near active volcanoes.

Larvrunt is petulant and defensive, thinking others look down on it due to its size and posture. It's prone to throwing tantrums, as well as fireballs, at anything nearby when its temper flares.

Larvth is extremely possessive of any coins it purloins for its collection. To keep others from taking back what it stole, it will super-heat them with its flames so that nobody else can handle the heated metal but it.

Golorb's body is mostly comprised of its large mouth, leaving little room for other organs. It is thought this is why it has a relatively small appetite despite its size.

It scrapes the edges of its wings across its skull to sharpen them into deadly points, letting it cut prey as it flies past multiple times until they succumb to their wounds and it can feast on the pooling blood.

The inside of its mouth is warm and soft, and its body rather durable, making it perfect for protecting and incubating eggs. Daycares and Breeders have taken to using them to keep especially precious eggs safe from harm.

Though it may look frightening, Golfree is not aggressive towards humans. It's large mouth is for consuming vast quantities of flowers whole for their honey and other nutrients.

It transforms its extended tongue into an imitation of its prey. Once another member of the species draws near, it quickly transforms back, wrapping around the hapless victim and dragging it into Golto's hungry maw.

Goluna's fangs are retractable, remaining hidden from sight until it spots potential prey. It swoops quickly and sinks its teeth into victims, draining their blood for nutrients that will hasten its evolution.

Many describe the sights of Goltini shedding its skin as disturbing, as its head will protrude from within the mouth of the layer being shed before it can escape its old skin.

Goldrill are a highly aggressive species found swarming deep in cave systems. Their stingers are so sharp and their attacks so quick and ferocious that even Steelix and Aggron are wary of their nests.

Though it has no visible teeth, Golret still "bites" others as a form of mischievous play. After annoying its chosen victim, it flies off to hide in narrow spaces, tucking its wings to help it squeeze in.

Should one be under attack by a Golicate, the best course of action is to aim for its whiskers. Extremely sensitive and important for maintaining aerial balance, it will immediately retreat if they are touched.

It hides in darkness, waiting to frighten prospective victims with a loud screech. Those who strike it in defense are hit with a stunning counter blow, incapacitating them so that Golbuffet may feed on their blood.

In the dark of night, Golring forages for its favorite foods, honey and the juiciest of berries. Trainers have been accidentally frightened off by the sight of Golring's long tongue dripping bright red berry juice.

Its powerful serpentine body will constrict prey, before sinking its fangs in and gorging itself on blood. Once completely drained of blood, it disposes the prey's husk in its gaping maw.

Golki acts as a perch for Zubat to safely rest upon between hunts. Since its unique body makes hunting for itself difficult, the Zubat share some of the prey they grab with it in exchange for its service.

Should it come across a sleeping Pokémon or Trainer, it will stand near and protect them while they slumber. It inhales large amounts of air through its massive mouth and expands its body to intimidate foes.

Its mouth and tongue grew before the rest of its body did, making flying and hunting difficult. Should it catch prey, it gorges on massive amounts of blood so it can go weeks before needing to feast again.

Golseed hunts by diving into crowds of smaller prey and firing poisonous spikes from its body. It then feasts on those struck down by its toxins while the rest flees in fear.

The mushroom infesting it has given it a taste for tree life as well as blood. Once it latches onto a victim, plant or otherwise, it will drain all their nutrients until all that remains is a husk.

During its raging tantrums, Golape will pummel foes into submission before draining blood via its sharp fangs. Once it's had its fill of blood, it becomes remarkably placid until it becomes hungry again.

Golchoke hones itself in the art of grappling, using its incredibly strong arms to take hold of opponents with a crushing grip. Once it has a victim in its grasp, it drains their blood, growing stronger while they grow weaker.

Its four powerful arms allow Golchamp to crush most foes with ease. It fasts for long periods of time, as it only wishes to drink the blood of those worthy enough to give it a good fight.

Its wings are not strong enough to easily lift the weight of its body and the heavy Shellder together. Golbro does not realize this, and will spend several minutes flapping futilely before giving up, and taking a nap.

Goluk's fangs are no more solid than the rest of it, and thus are not ideal for biting and puncturing the skin of foes. Their main purpose is to help with intimidation tactics to scare off intruders in its domain.

Prey that wanders too near a waiting Golster will find itself seized by a long tongue, then dragged within its mouth before it clamps down. Few can escape once its mouth has closed shut.

The more bulbous a Stunorb has inflated itself, the more it serves as a warning to stay away. Even a faint touch could cause it to burst in a massive explosion of electricity.

It purposefully throws itself onto land in order to hunt. Pretending to be helpless out of the water, it waits until something attempts to touch it before jolting them with electricity, then flopping back to sea with its new prey in tow.

Its poor vision leaves it with a skittish demeanor. If it senses something nearby, it will surge electricity around itself in defense to stun the interloper and allow it to flee.

Very moody and standoffish in disposition, Stunsian loiters about among human civilizations, curling up in the most inconvenient of places. Any who try to move it forcibly will receive an angry shock.

Stunby half-submerges itself in muddy areas among the coastline, waiting for the tide to bring in potential food. If prey steps too close, it snatches it in its pincers and delivers a painful electric shock.

Sablring collects gems from deep underground to adorn the ring in its torso. If two Sablring meet, they immediately compare gem collections to see who has the greater amount of precious jewels.

It swings and scrapes its claws against stone to the point of exhaustion. This is a training regimen for Sablhita, as it yearns to be able to dig deep into caverns barehanded and unearth the finest of gems to collect.

Though they can move individually, the separate pieces of Venicute prefer to move as a singular unit, following behind the leader of the clutch. When resting, the other five surround the sixth to protect it from harm.

Venitung's strong stomach lets it consume even the most poisonous of mushrooms. The digestion helps give the venom in its claws and stingers even more potency.

Venihorn has a feisty personality and will charge horn-first at anything with little provocation. The horn contains a mild venom that weakens the muscles of anything that gets stung.

A solitary Pokémon, Venifree keeps to itself in the wild and eats from small flower patches. If confronted, it spreads a very potent paralyzing poison from its wings.

In battle, Venither moves with agility and stays on the defensive. Its scythes are tipped with venom, so it waits for the perfect moment to strike and deliver a painful dose to its foe.

Venisir's venom is mild, but its pincer-like stingers have a powerful grip. It grabs prey and holds them tight, constantly injecting venom until they're totally paralyzed and an easy meal.

It produces poison from the stingers on its tail, creating globs it flicks onto its antlers. It flings blobs of poison from both its tail and antlers when it feels threatened.

Venitik hunts tiny creatures by lobbing webbing at them as if casting a net. Even if captured prey escapes, the webbing is coated with poison that will exhaust them in time and allow Venitik to catch up.

Something of a step between evolution stages, Venipede retains mobility but loses some venom potency and the sturdiness of its shell. It skitters away from trouble, avoiding conflict until it can evolve further.

A unique type of poison concoction is produced from the tips of Veniras's claws. Normally causing illness in those it scratches, if its claws scrape a gash into a tree, fungi begin growing in the scratch marks.

Venipod acts as a two-faced trickster in the wild. If spotted by a larger creature, it pretends to flee in terror, then doubles back in order to leap at its foe when their guard is down and apply rapid venomous bites.

The poison-creating glands residing in its head give it massive headaches if too much is produced without release. It is forced to bite and inject anything it can with poison to relieve its own pain.

Densely-packed tendrils form a swirled shell around Whirligela's body to protect it while it develops. These vines are quite solid, and can lash out and wallop anything that gets too close for comfort.

Though its weighty carapace gives it low agility, Whirlither has potent defenses and offenses. The blades on its arms and head are sharp and venom-tipped, and even its wings are pointed enough to cause damage.

When closed, its mouth helps complete a protective shell around its head. Timid despite its imposing appearance, Whirlibull will bite attackers with its powerful jaws, while also delivering poison from the tips of its fangs.

Whirliedge prefers to keep itself sheathed and avoid combat where possible. If forced, it strikes with swirling, circular swings of its blade that deflect attacks and disorient foes.

The circular markings on the liquid exterior of Whirlision can be shifted around at will. For self-defense, the core strikes these circles, which send out pulses of potent psychic energy on impact.

The eye atop Whirlisect's head operates independently of the rest and possesses 360 degree vision despite its appearance. It helps Whirlisect direct bursts of spores in defense should something attempt to sneak up on it.

Though its shell-like exterior is sturdy, Whirliwhirl must constantly shield its weak spot: the eye in its tummy. The spiral patterns on the top of its body begin to swirl when it nears evolution.

The circles on Whirlizee's body glow when it uses its hypnotic powers. When in danger, it curls into a sphere and sends psychic waves all around it to repel aggressors.

Great care must be taken in raising Tydour, as though affectionate to owners their massive jaw strength means that even a playful bite from it could be disastrous to property or person.

The leader of a Tydoom pack is decided by combat. Because it is arrogant and a sore loser, some packs spend more time fighting over leadership than hunting.

Tywick uses specially-colored wax and its flame to put on a more fearsome appearance to scare away predators. It can even open its "mouth" to breathe fire and further sell the facade.

When it roars at trespassers, its innards spill out in a threat display done to further frighten the target. It has a difficult time retracting its innards back afterward, however.

It is petulant and selfish, believing anything it wants rightfully belongs to it. It can tear open even metal surfaces with its upper jaw in order to get to something it desires.

Tygast likes to camouflage itself as a simple fossil lying amongst the sand, before rearing up and roaring to spook away those who investigate it. It has a poor reputation among archeologists because of this.

Tykoal will gruffly snort and emit steam from its pores as a threat display. Rivals in the wild will compete to see who can blow the most smoke at once to establish dominance.

It tries to look ferocious and intimidating, but fails due to its large eyes and goofy gait when it walks. Even attempts to roar at foes fall flat, as instead of an angry bellow, there is only a honking quack.

When its tail catches something, it drops the prey in front of it and roars at it in triumph. After roaring, it forgets about the hunt completely, allowing the prey to escape back into the water.

Despite sharing the same body and stomach, the two heads of Tyby are selfishly greedy. They often fight over a single morsel rather than eat two separate, more filling meals.

A massive prehistoric being, Tyrandactyl was considered one of the apex aerial hunters. Able to glide massive distances, it would descend from its home atop the mountains to hunt, devastating entire herds of Pokémon with each swoop.

With its imposing appearance, Tyransire aims to rule as a tyrant over Quagsire and others of its ilk. Because of its simple mind, in practice this just amounts to stomping around in their muddy home and roaring a lot.

Some believe that Tyrancargo is the result of a meteor from space impacting and merging with an ancient Pokémon. Analyzing the rock would have great scientific value, but Tyrancargo allows no one to touch its shell.

It is said the first Tyrantei hatched from within the planet's molten core eons ago. With every rumbling roar, it launches a gout of flame and magma capable of burning anything away to ash.

Tyranpardos's aggression is thought to have been unparalleled in the ancient world. Research into fossils and geography has led some to believe entire mountains were smashed to bits by its raging charges.

Tyranqueen considers all other Pokémon as its subjects, needing to be protected by a stronger apex being. Its protective instinct is well-needed when its kingly counterpart is near.

Though its movements are stiff, its claws are strong enough to tear apart trees with ease. When it expels air through its nose, it sounds like a low roar.

Tyranking is a brutal tyrant of a Pokémon intent on subjugating all others beneath its power and rule. The only way to keep it in check is with the presence of a queenly counterpart.

According to research, Tyranlem's mating habits coincided with its yearly shedding of its stone shell. Fossil records indicate the shed stones were used to nest the vulnerable young.

Its top speed is mediocre, but Tyranta's legs are deceptively strong. It stuns much larger foes with powerful kicks, then fries them with a bellowing roar that releases a wave of flame.

The two heads selfishly fight over any captured prey, battling for the right to eat their spoils. Over time, one will grow oversized as it consistently wins these fights for food, while the other slowly withers away.

The eggshell-like cloak around its body keeps it warm even among the most frigid of temperatures. It's not uncommon to see Snopi happily dancing about in the middle of snowstorms.

Snonub skitters around frozen areas, sniffing out chunks of ice to bring back to its den. It's not yet known what criteria it uses for judging which pieces of ice are worth retrieving.

Snolie is a colony of Snorunt that commandeered the hollowed remains of a Glalie for added protection. Using their ice powers in conjunction lets them create potent blizzards to defend themselves.

Glados is a highly territorial denizen of the frigid northern seas. With its bellowing icy roar, it can freeze an entire ship solid in moments, leaving a frozen reminder of the consequences of trespassing in its domain.

It only departs from its home in cold mountain peaks to hunt and freeze prey, dragging them back to its den. It's often confused with a Pokémon from the Galar region.

When first discovered, the researcher who spotted Oddorb thought it was simply a malformed Oddish. When approaching, they received a rude awakening as Oddorb exploded in a pollen-filled display of self-defense.

Its multitude of leaves across its body allows it to photosynthesize large amounts of nutrients. It also lets it spread large amounts of pollen that can aid flower growth in areas with minimal sunlight.

The color of the leaves on Odduna's head indicate its closeness to evolution, darkening as it draws nearer. To deter predators, it emits a foul stench from these leaves.

Oddpi likes to dip its singular leaf into the beverages of those around it. It seems to be sampling the taste this way, but the act also gives the drink a noticeably sweeter taste; those who consume it after report feeling rejuvenated.

Oddkoth lounges among scattered seeds, picking at them and handing them to any passersby. It does this in the hope that others will help plant the seeds and help them spread, as it is too lazy to do so itself.

Oddtik clings to fruits and veggies, draining them of nutrients after sinking its tiny fangs into them. Because it tends to favor produce about to go bad, some restaurants use it to monitor freshness of their wares.

The steam Oddkoal emits contains a floral scent many find appealing, making it a popular house pet. As its scent is affected by diet, many owners swap advice on how to change the fragrance for the seasons.

Playful even with strangers, Oddyena loves to approach new potential friends and convince them to join it in a game of hide-and-seek. It runs off and buries itself in the ground to hide, only its leaves visible above ground.

Oddth can be seen collecting leaves as it roams, though none are sure what criteria it uses to judge the ones it collects. Occasionally it will even offer coins to others in exchange for leaves.

It swallows up large amounts of plant life in a single gulp, digesting over the course of several days. Oddin's leaves can be used to brew tea with a strong flavor, and an even stronger aroma.

It buries itself in the ground to sleep during the day, surrounded by scattered leaves it maintains a psychic connection to. If something disturbs one of these leaves, it immediately teleports away to safety.

Odduk consumes sick and dying plants into its body to clear out soil, leaving behind droplets of goop that fertilize the ground. Some hardier plants manage to survive and even grow and become a part of Odduk.

As it dances, Oriduck controls flames elegantly with every swing of its wings. Should a headache strike mid-dance, however, it may lose control and wind up launching a sweeping wave of fire.

Dozens of little pom-poms make up Origela's body, rubbing against each other to generate protective static electricity. It can vibrate itself faster to generate larger amounts and send out crackling bolts of lightning if needed.

Orifree's kind personality leads it to cheer for both sides of a battle equally when it spectates. After watching a battle unfold, it flies over and spreads a static pollen that helps soothe the combatants' tired muscles.

For defense, it rubs its body with the fluffy pom-poms to generate static electricity and shock those that touch it. If it should be caught without an electrified body, it can still always deliver a shock from the horn on its head.

One should be very careful not to anger Oridrill. Its spiked pom-poms make for deadly punches, but can also be lobbed from afar, where they will burst apart in a shower of lightning and spiked projectiles.

Attracted to sources of static electricity, Origey often winds up nesting around human laundry. Domesticated Origey are often seen around the house with an errant sock stuck to their fluffy plumage due to static cling.

When frightened, Oritata grabs hold of its own large tail-fluff and rubs it for comfort. This not only serves to calm it, but the rubbing accelerates its own electric output, letting it shoot defensive sparks if necessary.

Oripiny enthusiastically dances, rubbing its pom-poms against the stone it carries after every performance. It's presumed that this act is practice for nurturing and stimulating real eggs once it matures.

As Orisir dances, it clicks the pincers on its head together in tune with its rhythm. These clicks emit a faint psychic pulse that weaken small creatures in the vicinity, making them easy pickings once Orisir finishes the dance.

Oridrill is one of the more peaceable Beedrill fusions, but still highly protective of its nest. Should something come too close, the rapid flapping of its wings will send psychic waves that disorient and deter the interlopers.

Orioh can create a vibrant rainbow trail behind it as it flies. Those who view the colorful sight find a feeling of tranquility come over them, which lingers for quite a while after Orioh has flown away.

It descends from the skies with a gentle and elegant flair meant to soothe the hearts of onlookers. Those that resist this relaxing aura will be punished for their insolence with devastating beams of psychic energy.

Though it has an innocently dopey look to it, Oriduck uses its wavy dance to inflict painful headaches on those that see it. This is a necessary evil, as the only way to diffuse its own migraine pains is to pass them onto others for a time.

Oriby are becoming seen more often on fishing vessels, as their scuttling dance seems to carry an allure that draws fish in. Larger ships will carry dozens of Oriby scuttling about to bring in huge schools to catch.

Once Oriler gets into the rhythm of its relaxing dance, nothing will stop it from completing its swaying movements. If something comes to disturb it, it picks it up with its claw and tosses it aside without missing a beat.

In primitive times, it was believed Oridle's sting allowed one to communicate with the spirit world for a time. Modern science concludes this was actually hallucinogenic effects brought by Oridle's poison.

Oriret have been observed attending wakes, moving at a slow rhythm before rubbing themselves against the most mournful. Those who were touched swear they heard the voice of the departed speaking to them one last time.

Orichu uses an elegant dance to stimulate its body and powers, and ends each movement with small showers of sparks. Orichu owners swear they've seen the image of departed loved ones within these displays.

Observation has determined the positions of Orirogue's hands hint at its preferred fighting style. Vertically-kept fans signifies defensive leaning, while horizontal limbs mean an offensive style.

It expels stinky smoke around it as well as occasional piles of refuse beneath it. These spots of garbage are often eaten by Trubbish and other Poison-type Pokémon.

Trubvee often digs through garbage cans looking for both food and interesting trinkets. If caught rummaging, it attempts to give away some of its findings as a peace offering.

It upturns garbage cans to look for things to snack on, making it a minor nuisance to urban areas. One can avoid a bigger mess by leaving old soda cans, its favorite treat, outside of the garbage can.

The rubbish forming Trubat's wings regularly loses cohesion and falls off, leaving it grounded. It rifles through and eats the contents of garbage cans to help hasten their regeneration.

Trubth pilfers coins lost among garbage and refuse, hoarding it until its bags are full to bursting. Some bags rip and leave behind its coins, causing it to continuously hoard the same bits of change.

Garbown plucks garbage from containers and uses it to draw symbols upon the ground. It's believed this habit is an attempt at communication, but none have yet discovered meaning in the trash's shapes.

It battles using assorted bits of trash fashioned into weapons and armor. Despite the shoddy appearance of its weaponry, it wields them with skill and precision in battle, making them far more effective than they seem.

It's been discovered that Cardisc are highly receptive to chocolate. Ships now often carry surplus containers to toss overboard and placate schools of Cardisc to keep them from becoming aggressive.

Due to its malleable body, its skin is too smooth and its fangs too soft to cause damage. That fact it has to mimic other Pokémon to be a threat causes it no end of vexation.

Sharpnite cuts through the air and the ocean depths with the same incredible speed. With its extreme strength and aggression, it is considered an apex predator of both biomes.

Sharpsaur fight for territory by using their vines to fling the razor-sharp petals of their flower bulbs at each other. The more scars a Sharpsaur bears, the more respect it commands from others.

Sharpmory jets through the air at impossibly fast speeds, and can cleave trees in two with its sharp limbs as it flies past. It produces Sharpedo-shaped explosive projectiles to launch at opponents and prey.

Phantras acts as a kind and gentle guide to lost children in the woods. It places them onto its back, floats to the forest entrance, and gently sets them down before vanishing into the trees.

Every Treco claims a tree as its own, remaining attached to a limb until something disturbs it. It rockets down from the tree in response, mercilessly assaulting the interloper with ghastly ghost powers.

Trelax chases after those who enter its forest, making spooky noises and threatening gestures. If a traveler offers it food, however, it is instantly placated and will leave them alone.

Ostensibly a guardian spirit of the forest, Trekoth's swipes are slow and unenthusiastic. The most it can muster to deter unwelcome visitors is a somewhat creepy wailing cry.

Considering itself a defender of small plant-life, Treish patrols forests and gardens at night, flinging leaves at potential trespassers. Though small, these leaves possess sharp enough edges to leave nasty cuts.

Bits of a wooden shell circle around Treor, levitated by a strange energy from its core. It manipulates these pieces both as projectiles and as armor when forced into battle.

Should it need to frighten others away, Treduck lifts off the head of its wooden body and levitates it around using psychic powers. It tends to get a headache once the head is reattached afterward.

Trechamp's arms are huge enough to carry it around easily, so it's rarely seen actually standing on its own feet. It lumbers throughout dark forests, ready to strike down those who would disturb the woodland's peace.

It cuts down large swaths of the most pungent flowers to eat. These flowers are what give its honey such a foul stench in addition to the enjoyably sweet taste.

Glootata smears the smelly drool from its mouth within the walls of homes to signal others to come make their homes there. Because the stench is so foul, it's easy to identify a home in the midst of a Glootata infestation.

Gloobull's strong sense of smell means it gets agitated by the stench of its own flower. When it sneezes, it sprays its sticky, stinky drool all over the areas in front of it.

The foul stench of its drooling honey is lessened after it consumes large amounts of sap, so Gloocross owners often keep them well-fed to manage the smell. This has led to a mild obesity problem in domestic species.

It drools honey from its mouth to lure in prey while it remains sedentary. Even if something eats and escapes, the magnetic content of its honey allows it to use its own magnetism to draw them back to its mouth.

Although pungent, Glootik's small size makes its stench almost imperceptible to larger creatures. It marks its favored feeding spots with its smelly drool, letting other Glootik know of a good source of sustenance.

The foul stench from Glooras's twin flowers drives off friends and foes alike. The drool dripping from its mouth encourages fungal growth in the ground it drips on.

The parasitic mushroom has neutralized the organs that cause the foul scent of its drool. This allows it to leave sticky, odorless puddles around its territory to trap unsuspecting prey with.

It has a tendency to mark territory by rubbing its foul-smelling drool on objects it claims ownership of. The marking is difficult to clean and remove the stench of, making it an unpopular pet.

The combination of Gloom and Muk has created one of the most noxious-smelling Pokémon in existence. Ironically, the honey that coats its mouth is said to be one of the most delicious despite the rank odor.

Noilu is extremely friendly towards humans, often landing and resting on the heads of those traveling through its caves. If anything aggressive comes close to its new friend, it assaults the foe with debilitating ultrasonic waves.

While fearsome in dim lighting, Noidon is deathly afraid of bright lights. Even a glimpse of sunlight will send it into a panic, boring holes with its horn to dig a hole or cave for it to hide away in.

Intrigued by human courtship, Noidisc has been spotted often hiding close to couples on evening dates near mountains or caves. Depending on the couple, this is either adorable or annoying.

The cloud-like fluff on Swabtini's body slowly grows over time until it covers it completely. It sheds the fully-fluffed skin within the week, and begins growing a new cloud layer shortly after.

Swabgey is a popular pet in affluent neighborhoods for their plumage and vocals. Swabgey owners will regularly get together and create a chorus with their pets' songs.

Swaba makes its home in forest areas with heavy mist. It uses its cloud-like wings to help blend in with the misty haze and hide it from potential predators as it forages.

Swabrak's webbing is made of the same cloud-like material that grows across its body, which thins out as it weaves webs. If it spins too much web too quickly, it goes bald and can't create new webs until sufficient fluff has grown back.

Swabtu prefers to hide within clouds or fog when flying to obscure itself from potential predators. Its strong eyes let it see clearly through these hazes and spot movement even from vast distances.

As its light body is carried along by the winds, small pieces of the cloud-like matter on its body fall towards the ground. These clumps are highly sought by Pokémon possessing a sweet tooth.

Swablax carries two sticks of sweet cloud-like fluff it creates wherever it goes. It has two different mouths, so each one eats from its own stick of candy.

The small hair on Swabts's head is highly attuned to its surroundings, making up for its poor eyesight. It likes to shower those it's fond of with bits of fluff dispersed from its dome.

Swabvoir is extremely popular for its melodious voice and gentle demeanor. When it sings, a voluminous rainbow emanates from the clouds of its body, arcing over towards those listening to its song.

It sings a happy chirping song and prances about when the sun rises. When it charges up electricity, the clouds of fluff on its body spark and rumble like faint thunder.

Swabish is known for helping plants propagate across the land. It carries seeds in its mouth and flies by flapping its cloud-like petals, planting the seeds when it lands.

The soft fluff on Swabduck's arms has a soothing property, making it excellent at calming others with light massages. It mostly uses it to rub its own aching head, though.

Swabra uses its telekinesis to gently lift others so they can experience something akin to the joy of flight. It's also quite proud of its cloud-formed mustache.

When flexing, the cloud-like fluff on Swabchoke's chest expands. Rivals will have flexing contests to see which one has the most expansive and thus most impressive chest-fluff.

It has a spirited and combative personality, always eager to spar with others. Because its arms and fists are made of clouds, its punches don't pack much power.

Swabler gathers up small stones to hide within its cloud-like limbs. When battling, it flings cloud orbs filled with rocks to pack deceptively potent punches on impact.

The stick it carries is tipped with a cloudy substance it regularly produces. It offers this up to those it is close to; the flavor of the cottony confection is powerfully sweet.

Although fluffy to the touch, within the center of Swabnix's cloudy tail segments are solid stone. If it feels threatened, it won't hesitate to swing its body around and send an agitator flying.

It can spread a paralyzing toxic powder from its wings to stun anything it flies over. Vilefree does this in order to ensure it has no competition in finding the sweetest honey and nectar to gorge upon.

Its lanky appearance makes it cute to some, unsettling to others. If the string on its back is pulled, Stuffmime energetically dances, and a jaunty tune plays from an unknown source.

Stuffper is very friendly and playful, often approaching strangers and dancing around them in celebration of new friends. One should be cautious though, as it likes to headbutt as a sign of affection, and packs a surprising punch.

Many have mistaken Stuffkoth in the wild for discarded toys due to their appearance and almost inanimate nature. They often become happily adopted by children who find them adorable and easy to care for.

Stuffzee loves playing with children, sticking close to those it has befriended, particularly at night. If it senses a child having a nightmare, it quickly eats the dream even though it will likely make it sick.

Some believe that Dhelxys came from a spaceship that crashed deep into the ocean depths. It gathers the remains of shipwrecks with its chain-like limbs, though none are certain what it does with the scrap it collects.

Dhelbas appears to reside near the wreckage of sunken ships. It hides amongst the debris out of sight, before using seaweed-like tendrils to ensnare small unwary prey.

Dheldisc blows small heart-shaped bubbles at others of its kind to communicate. Old sailors' tales say Dheldisc was born from the spirits of couples lost at sea.

Dhelcool cloaks itself in intimidating detritus and skulls to give itself an imposing, deadly appearance. Some think it's overcompensating for its rather meager strength and toxin.

The type of flavors Hawltung tastes before a fight influence its combat style: sweet for defensive, spicy for offensive, etc. Many Hawltung Trainers work tirelessly to find meals with the perfect flavor combo to create the perfect fighting style.

Its vines can shape and extend to some extent, giving it more range for strikes and grapples than a first glance would suggest. It will even shape its vines into taunting or victorious gestures to psych out opponents.

It throws down lightning bolts in front of it before every battle. This is primarily meant for dramatic flair, as Hawlbuzz prefers to use its physical prowess in battle over projectiles.

Hawlmar is found primarily in areas with active volcanic activity. A favorite pastime (and method of showboating) for Hawlmar is to leap from on high into a pool of lava, leaping out and shaking off the molten liquid, unharmed and unfazed.

Its sharp eyesight allows it to detect even the faintest twitch of movement from its opponent, giving it exceptional reaction speed to attacks. It uses its tiny frame to dodge attacks until the foe is too exhausted to avoid its counterstrikes.

It shuffles and trots in place, rubbing its fur together to create a static charge that makes its tail shine brightly. This bright glow serves as the backdrop lighting for its dramatic moves in combat.

Hawlossom are much more passionate about observing battles than participating in them. If many gather together to watch a fight, their supportive dances and cheers can even bolster the strength of the combatant being cheered for.

It stands stock-still in battle, waiting for an opponent to make a move it can counter. When the chance arises, it devastates the attacking foe with dramatic jump strikes and stunning throws.

Hawlflora absorbs sunlight so that it may produce a bright shine like a spotlight on command. It does this to support allies in battle, providing dramatic lighting to give their performance added flair.

Hawleon has slight precognitive capabilities, which it uses to its advantage in battle. The gem on its forehead shines briefly when it successfully counters a move it saw in advance.

Hawlkrow challenges others of its kind to combat, with the loser forced to give up prized possessions to the winner. The fighting may be honorable, but the items fought for are often ill-gotten gains.

Some say the head on its back half is its evil side. While a bit playful, it does seem that while Hawlfarig wants to fight honorably, its back end seems to encourage the use of dirty tactics.

Hawlrow tries to sneakily poach the belts away from others of its species. Direct fights are uncommon, as Hawlrow considers a successful steal as a stronger example of its prowess.

It only shares the feathers it molts with those it deems to have an honorable spirit. People believe accessories made with Hawlmory feathers grant the owner a boost to vitality.

When readying itself for battle, Hawlpy will blow a tune with its trunk, hyping itself up with a personal theme. It will compose additional themes for its allies when it observes their battles.

Hawlphan has been observed taking in stray Phanpy and tutoring them in its ways. In particular, it teaches them how to roll and unfurl from said roll with the maximum amount of dramatic flair.

Hawltler is always itching for a good brawl to keep itself in shape. If no others seem in the mood to practice with it, it will use faint hypnotic powers from its antlers to stoke their fighting spirit and make them raring to fight.

Hawltank's size and robust body make it a potent powerhouse in combat, good for any Trainer's team. However, most find themselves quickly put off by its victory celebration, where it sprays milk above the heads of it and its teammates.

The vines comprising its wings and back flutter in the wind, giving the illusion of a cape. This illusion lulls foes into forgetting they are just as prehensile as the rest of Hawlgrowth, giving it an opportunistic advantage.

In combat, it moves with practiced and calculated grace and strength. Those who have observed Hawlia in battle are torn between describing its movement as fighting or dancing.

Hawleon has a distaste for using its camouflage abilities unless absolutely necessary. Hunters that think it will be easy prey because it stands out will be taught otherwise when grappled and tossed aside by its prehensile tongue.

Hawlqueen is protective of all the young Pokémon in its domain, considering itself their guardian. It makes sure they watch its fights, so it can extol virtues of strength and honor as well as teach them self-defense.

Some naysayers believe Hawlsol causes disasters just so it can look like a hero saving people from them. This is patently false; Hawlsol simply believes it can help people and look cool while doing so, but rescue is always the first priority.

Often called "The King of the Ring," Hawlking is incredibly bombastic and lives for the spectacle of battle. It only fights with opponents it knows will give it a challenge, as a fight that ends too fast is no fight at all.

Hawlpix uses its flame powers to force an opponent's movements in battle. It flings fireballs from its six tails to make them dodge and dip around until they're in the perfect spot for Hawlpix to land a critical strike.

Hawlki consistently practices its battle techniques in order to add more flair to its movements. On occasion, it will steal trinkets from passersby, refusing to return the objects until they watch it show off its new moves.

When diving at prey, Hawlbat cannot resist the urge to add aerial acrobatics such as twists and loops. Sometimes it gets so caught up in its flourishing performance that its prey escapes.

Hawlie's piercing cry is said to freeze opponents in their tracks, leaving them wide open for it to strike. It coats its entire body in solid ice before careening into an opponent with devastating force.

Despite living in the most frigid of areas, Hawlass has a personality that can only be described as "fiery." It practices its moves by creating ice statues of other Pokémon to grapple and toss around.

Most find Hawlbish endearing for its strong sense of justice and friendship, and its eagerness to prove itself in battle. Because it practices its moves in garbage dumps, however, its friends must learn to endure its pungent stench.

It grants water and safe travels to those lost within the desert sands, then disappears like a mirage. As those reporting it were exhausted survivors, Hawlturne was thought to be a hallucination until recent times proved it to exist.

It can create cold gusts of wind to chill and slow its opponents in battle. It also has the side effect of making Hawlrorus's wing-like flaps flutter in the wind, giving it a dramatic flair that it relishes.

It seems generally unresponsive to outside stimuli, but if fierce battles take place in front of it, it can be observed shifting slightly with the faintest of lights flickering within its hollow eyes.

Its eyes are alight with the fighting spirit burning from within. Hawlor charges into foes with full-bodied tackles from the air, impacting with force akin to a falling meteor.

Hawlithe has boundless energy, so prospective owners should be aware of how excessively it tends to act. Even a simple game of fetch will end up with parkour added so Hawlithe can add flair and burn off more energy.

Hawlbra prides itself as a master of hyping up the beginnings of a battle. As it chants sharp cries into its mic, everyone participating will be more fired up, eager to make a spectacle worthy of Hawlbra's hype.

With its massive intellect, it formulates dozens of counters for its opponent's moves. They say a Hawlkazam can calculate 1000 outcomes before the battle even begins.

Hawlsprout likes to get up close and personal in battle, assailing foes with spinning jump kicks and karate chops from above. Because of its leaf arms and spindly root legs, these strikes aren't as effective as it would like.

The poses it strikes in battle are controlled by the Shellder on its tail, biting on specific nerves to trigger a reflexive movement from Hawlbro. In victory, the Shellder even makes Hawlbro take a bow.

Its wings are tucked away and barely visible, too small to achieve flight. Combined with Hawlduo's running leaps, however, it can manage to glide for exceedingly long distances.

Hawleel is a common sight in circuses and water parks, reveling in the joy of entertainment. Aquatic acrobats and acts of juggling are its forte.

Hawlgar likes to haunt venues where nighttime Pokémon battling is common. It loves to interrupt fights with its sudden appearance, taking on both sides of the initial battle at once and turning the moment into a true spectacle.

Hawlnix's small arms are deceptively strong, allowing it to grip onto rock walls with ease. It uses this to help it strike from ceilings and make more acrobatic maneuvers when fighting in its cavernous home.

The leaves that grow on Cacslash's back are nutritious and contain a lot of moisture within. It offers them to desert travelers to help keep them hydrated beneath the sweltering sun.

Cactly is a desert spirit that only comes out in the late evenings. If several congregate together, they can conjure up an illusion of a watery oasis to trick travelers.

It forms its body into intricate castles to impress onlookers. The castles come with extra details depending on the Sandyvee: flames, thunderclouds, moats, a sun or moon, forests, snowmen and heart motifs have been observed.

Sandypi runs about beaches and dives into sandcastles, claiming them as its new home. It cries and flings sand at those who would try to remove it from its castle.

Sandyoh is very elusive, hiding beneath the sands of remote beaches and rarely interacting with others. However, if something threatens its home, it whips up searing sandstorms that flicker all the colors of the rainbow.

Sandylax creates a facsimile of Munchlax in order to approach others and ask for food, beguiling them with its cute appearance. Donated food gets stored in the decoy's stomach, which returns the meals back to the main body.

The mushrooms growing on Patu are used to help with poor eyesight, but care must be taken when consuming. If not properly steeped before eating, a person may not be able to blink for some time afterward.

The mushrooms on its back exhibit a different parasitism than the norm. The mind seems unaffected, but the nutrients drained from the body leave Pakoth perpetually lethargic.

Paloon hides in the canopy of trees and dangles a lure to the ground below. Unsuspecting Pokémon that grab it are whisked up above to be infected by Paloon's spores.

The mushroom it holds spreads highly soporific spores when shaken. As its target becomes drowsy, Pabra uses this lull in mental defenses to begin siphoning intelligence from the victim's mind.

Having reached the pinnacle of intellect, Pakazam no longer needs to drain the minds of other beings. Yet it continues to do so, as the act itself has become an addictive thrill it cannot resist.

Palobone uses its shovel to help dig and form intricate sand sculptures on beaches it calls home. The sculptures most commonly depict happy Pokémon playing together with their young. It gazes at its creation longingly when finished.

It practices music endlessly, trying to create the perfect melody. Its haggard appearance is due to using a Pokéflute to practice, ensuring it will not sleep until it finds that special song.

Many Melolax have perfected their song in the form of a beautiful lullaby. They continue to play this music even as they rest, perpetuating their sleep endlessly and drawing those near to join them in slumber.

Cressmer's body is made out of an unknown substance, though it appears closely related to lunar materials. Prolonged exposure leads to drowsiness, and those who give in to sleep have pleasant dreams about space.

The mushroom on Paraode's back mimics the appearance of Electrode, but also possesses a similar function: if agitated, it will burst open explosively, spreading paralyzing spores several meters around it, helping it escape predation.

With its mind completely taken over by the parasitic fungus, Parabone no longer feels sorrow or loss. It only feels the instinctive need to hunt others to infect with its spores.

It's never seen feeding, but has been observed constantly licking trees and grassy ground as it ventures forth. Within a week, the spots Paratung licked will be overrun with fungi.

Though infected by a parasite, maternal love still shines forth, now directed at young Paras. Ironically, Parakhan tries its best to make sure the Paras it raises never evolve and have their mushrooms overtake them.

It transforms its body in order to replicate the forms of others it wishes to infect. Because it cannot get rid of the mushroom on its body even while transformed, however, none are fooled by the attempted deception.

The mushroom cap aids in protecting the cocoon, while the mushroom itself infects the developing Pokémon within. The cocoon thrashes violently as it does so, before becoming perfectly still.

Paraflora traipses around forests, looking to spread spores onto other living beings. The spores are harmless, only causing those contacted to feel sudden jubilation, unable to stop smiling for a few hours.

The mushroom caps that extend outside of Paratress's shell are no less sturdy. For defense, it can fire smaller mushrooms from within that pack a mighty wallop if they connect.

When observed, the marks on its torso seem to shift and undulate to draw in curious prey. Once within range, Parabok ejects large amounts of toxic spores onto the hypnotized victim.

As it draws energy from ambient static, it sheds spores in a manner akin to electric sparks. Should lightning strike Parakou, a huge burst of spores will erupt and infect all life in a wide radius around it.

Parachu tends to sit completely motionless until something biological moves near, whereupon its tail reacts instinctively, stunning prey with whipping and electric jolts before wrapping around and dragging them closer to be infected.

A massive walking mound of fungal tendrils, Paragrowth uses its limbs to touch and wriggle its roots into any trees it comes across. Inevitably, these tainted trees will grow massive amounts of fungi within days.

Parawile stands stock-still until something living happens near it, whereupon it snatches them up in its false jaws. A few hours later, it spits them back out, the victim sporting grotesque mushroom growths.

Beneath the cap lies the nearly-dried husk of the infested Shroomish. Paraish lays dormant until something touches it, spreading a burst of spores to infect and drain its next victims.

The mushrooms have siphoned away the mind and body of Paras rapidly, leaving it almost a husk. In this weakened state, Pararas are often easily hunted, doomed due to the parasites' hunger.

The mushroom cap clings tightly to Paraduck's skull, causing it constant discomfort. When it scratches it in an attempt to alleviate the pain, it dispenses large amounts of spores.

Parachoke shuffles around quietly in search of others to flex its muscular body at. Each flex releases spores from specific parts of its body, so those who dare to stare should keep a large distance.

Paraler tucks its circular body into the mushroom to coat itself with spores, then rolls down mountains. Each tumble and impact casts more of its spores out into the air and helps them spread and propagate.

Three heads exist, but only the newly-formed mushroom has something resembling a brain or consciousness. If removed, it will simply transform one head into another mushroom, and grow a new false head.

Hakaron toughens itself up by butting heads with others of its kind. It strikes with enough force to break its scales, which grow back tougher, strengthening both rivals as they spar.

Very easily frightened, Wimgey tends not to come out of its nest inside trees unless it's certain no other creatures are about. If something approaches while it's out, it flaps up irritating fluff from its wings to help it escape.

Wimtu is a paranoid and twitchy species, always looking to and fro for potential dangers. If something manages to frighten it, it has an equal chance of fleeing or fainting outright.

Wima hides among the trees, scuttling quickly out from holes in the bark to feed on berries and occasionally small bugs. It only flies to retreat when it's startled, and does so at ludicrously high speed.

Wimtik feeds on small bits of electricity siphoned from household appliances. If spotted in the act of feeding it retreats immediately, spreading small bursts of sparks as it runs.

If confronted in the wild, Wimlu will panic and flap its wings rapidly, spreading cloud-like fluff everywhere. If it panics too much, it may lose all the fluff on its wings in its haste to escape.

Golidisc swims placidly in its waters, drifting away from conflict if spotted. If pushed into combat however, it's no slouch; its many arms have enough strength to hurl a Blastoise with ease.

It crashes into cave walls in order to knock loose any jewels in the wall or ceiling so it can eat. Its efforts regularly cause cave-ins, but it simply digs its way out of the rubble and looks for a new cave.

When multiple Caras gather, they create aurora-like light shows above them using lights from the crystals on their bodies. These rare and beautiful sights are considered one of the greatest natural wonders of the world.

Cartata derives sustenance from eating rock and stone from their cavernous homes. Enamored by sparkling things, any gems found while eating are hoarded in its nest.

Though it can fire weak light beams from its crystals, Carogue prefers close-quarters combat. It trains by striking stone walls repeatedly, forming cracks across its body as proof of its dedication.

It uses its pick to dig deep in caverns for rare jewels. It's believed that it does this because consuming the gems increases its intellect and psychic powers.

Carlem's diamond-like shell is considered one of the sturdiest substances known to humans at this time. It's theorized it could even survive the pressure and heat of the planet's core.

The first to encounter Carpoke in the wild thought it was nothing more than an intricate statue until it responded to touch. Carpoke is so absentminded it simply forgets to move throughout most of the day.

Some have claimed Carnix was the infamous "Crystal Onix" local folklore spoke about until proven otherwise. Living deep underground has hardened its stone and crystals to the point of being near impervious.

Though it doesn't appear so at a glance, even Venotung's tongue is covered with a fine layer of tiny hairs. Being licked results in mild allergic reactions and rashes for most people.

Venosey's eggs have a fine, fuzzy texture similar to its own hairs, though they are no less nutritious or delicious when eaten. Consuming them regularly is said to be particularly effective at combating allergies.

Venogela's many vines have a slightly fuzzy texture to the touch that most find pleasant. Domestic Venogela use their extendable vines to tickle their unsuspecting owners.

Venokhan can fire beams of light from its clustered eyes to protect its young. The child is still developing so it can only make a short flash of blinding light in self-defense.

Rival Venoros establish hierarchy by shaking their bodies and releasing a cloud of tiny hairs from their mane. The one that creates the bigger cloud is considered the superior.

If something approaches Venouna, it vibrates rabidly and sheds tiny hairs from its body. These hairs cause extreme allergic reactions in most creatures, leaving them with blurry vision and uncontrollable sneezing.

Venorak's strong eyesight lets it observe even the faintest motions of prey from a distance. It carefully watches and calculates the best place to spin tiny webs that will catch prey as it tries to flee.

Venowoodo's powerful cluster of eyes allows it to see faint movement, becoming still if it detects even a hint of a living creature. If something attempts to harm it, it flings irritating pollen from its hands in their eyes to blind them.

Its strong eyesight lets it see the glimmer of anything shiny from long distances with minimal lighting. Venokrow disperses clouds of small hairs with a flap of its wings to blind people and swipe their belongings.

Venolax stores spare food within the recesses of its fuzzy back. Sometimes it offers to share with friends, seeming confused when they refuse to partake in the fuzz-covered snacks.

Despite its hulking size, Venogrowth is a rather timid creature, hiding away deep in forests and caves and refusing to come out unless it sufficiently trusts someone. It seems afraid of potentially hurting someone due to its size.

It can change the color of all of its body except for its eyes. It hides away from sight, using its powerful eyes to scope out the faint movement of small insects, before its tongue lashes out at lightning speed to catch and eat them.

Possessing powerful eyesight and echolocation, Venobat makes it nearly impossible to hide or evade it when it's on the hunt. Fortunately for most, it only tends to hunt small insects.

Venoras gathers in small groups living among the roots of large trees. The mushrooms on its back, if properly prepared, can be used in a concoction that helps improve eyesight.

Venosect is a danger if left unchecked, as both the pollen it spreads and the mushrooms grown from its spores can cause lengthy bouts of blindness in those who come in contact with them.

If something flees from an angry Venokey, it will find it difficult to truly escape; its vision is highly acute, and its stubborn personality means it rarely gives up a chase, even after hours.

A faint scent emitted by Venopoke's hairs induces drowsiness and contentment in those who smell it. Many enjoy using it as a pillow to nap on, which Venopoke doesn't mind at all.

Venouk's body composition is a strange mixture of fuzzy and sludgy. Should some part of a person come in contact with its residue, that spot will remain itchy for days, even after removing the goop.

It generates bubbles from a small spout on its head to help keep its skin moisturized while on land. Froamer enjoys playing with others by spraying them with these foamy bubbles.

The clouds of smoke emanated from Torzing have an ashy and earthen scent to them. The smell has been used by some to help Pokémon from volcanic areas feel more comfortable when away from their natural habitat.

Steam within the shell keeps Torgela's tentacles moist and able to move it around. Because the steam escapes as it moves, it only moves in short bursts, lest it risk its limbs drying out.

As it consumes coal and other materials, puffs of smoke rise from its head. The clouds shift into the shapes of other Pokémon, even mimicking their behavior before dissipating.

Torsaur's developing body causes it to create an excessive amount of steam vented from within its shell. The constant production and subsequent expulsion of steam leaves it tired and lethargic.

Torlix is a gentle giant living a very sedentary lifestyle in volcanic regions, usually not far from human civilization. It is friendly enough that it even allows others to use its hot, steaming body as a makeshift sauna.

Due to the shell over its magma-like body, Torgma rarely moves. It sticks its head out from the holes in the shell in order to feed and vent excess steam from its pores.

It is one of the slowest-moving Pokémon recorded; a Torcargo moving at top speed for 24 hours would travel only a scant ten feet at best.

Its umbrella radiates heat to keep it warm while shielding its body from volcanic ash in the air. It's known for being elusive, walking out from the smokescreen it billows, and vanishing into those same clouds.

It projects an image of its face within the steam it expels, but this is just as incorporeal as the smoke. In olden Hoenn times people would burn incense near it, believing it held connections to their ancestors' spirits.

It pokes its head out of the stone body in order to eat or release large amounts of steam. Some resorts in Hoenn have taken to employing them as a part of their saunas.

Its tiny body is too small to haul its massive shell around normally. When Torcott needs to move, it retreats into the shell and uses expelled steam to propel itself forward.

Its gears churn slowly but steadily to give it life energy, releasing small bits of smoke as it does so. Some liken the sound it makes to the slow chug of a steam engine.

The spinning gears generate steam to dissipate excess heat. The main gear stores intense pressure within, releasing it to launch the other gears forward in self-defense.

It lengthens the distance of its leaps by expelling vast amounts of smoke from its nostrils to propel it further. The smoke takes on an appearance similar to wings, making Torbat appear to be flying.

When Torunt lets out a roar, the small plumes of steam it releases intensify into a singular geyser of smoke. It often tries to beat its own personal record for roar and eruption power.

Archaeologists believe Tortrum may have been the apex being within ancient volcanic regions. A long neck, powerful jaws, a sturdy shell and smoke production all combined to make it a formidable prehistoric hunter.

Torish's leaves are made of a tightly packed warm ash. Once a month, the leaves "shed" into a dusty pile on the ground. It buries itself into the pile afterward and waits for a new set of leaves to grow back.

It belts out increasing amounts of steam from its tail depending on how happy it is. Torful may also release excessive steam if hugged too hard by its Trainer.

Torchop stacks discarded shells on its back as a form of weight training. If it lacks shells to use, it may instead request other Pokémon or even trainers to stand on it as it works out.

It flexes before every attack, expelling smoke from the holes in its shell as it does so. The more holes emitting smoke, the stronger the attack it's about to unleash.

Despite having a low top speed, Torta prides itself on its galloping ability. What appears to be smoke billowing from it is actually a soft, ashy fur.

All three heads possess the capacity to breathe out steam, but as the center head is the most temperamental of the bunch, it is the one most associated with and seen using the ability.

Pumphoot lets out long, haunting hoots late in the evening, calling out to others of its kind. Once a month, flocks of Pumphoot gather in the forest to sing an ethereal harmony together.

Rival Venotto in the wild compete to see who kicks up the more dazzling display of pollen from their flapping wings. The competitors pay no heed to anyone unfortunate enough to get poisoned by their toxic flaps.

Venotler is notably difficult for Trainers to catch due to its defense mechanisms; between hypnosis with its antlers and a variety of toxins emitted from its wings, it has a multitude of ways to make capturing it a challenge.

Venoblade's whirling dervish of an offense is quick and efficient. Against speedier foes, the twin tridents leave pollen behind with every swing that slows opponents down, making them easier to strike as the battle goes on.

The different bits of its core can move individually, but tend to stay in the shape of a moth. The gelatinous shell around it contains hallucinogenic properties if prolonged contact is maintained.

The poison in Venobat's wings is mild, so it must make up for potency with the speed and amount of flapping. It almost completely coats prey with poison to immobilize them before it begins drinking their blood.

The mushrooms on Venoras's back are bright and flavorful, but great care must be taken if harvesting them; when removed, Venoras instinctively releases a burst of irritating poison from the mushroom's pore.

If a woodland area develops high fungus levels quickly, it's likely become the home of a Venosect. Every flap of its wings spreads fungal spores that quickly mature into a variety of mushrooms.

Gourkoth's slow, faint singing carries a curse that afflicts those who hear it. Victims of the hex become greatly lethargic for the next 7 days.

Gourtrum was a nocturnal terror of the ancient world, hunting prey in the dead of night. The fluid leaking from its hollowed-out torso was a toxic substance meant to mark territory and warn rivals and trespassers.

Gourchamp takes a prized possession from every foe it bests in combat, hoarding it in large pumpkins it personally carves. The greater the hoard, the higher its status among its kind.

An ethereal flame burns beneath the head, allowing Gourchamp to function even without its cranium. All attempts made to douse this otherworldly fire have failed.

Swirorb is a bit of a menace to some due to its tendency to explode. While it doesn't cause much physical damage, the explosion shoots sticky candy floss all over its surroundings, which is painfully difficult to clean up.

Swirtress's shell is covered with a layer of sticky candy floss. Anything that touches it will get the candy stuck to them, whereupon Swirtress will fervently lick the sticky part clean, as it adores the flavor of its own candy.

Swirswine's fur coat is made of sweets; it creates so much candy fluff that it will not notice or care if clumps are taken and eaten by others. Its candy tusks are brittle and regenerate, so they too can be eaten by its friends.

Its fur is consistently sweet in both aroma and taste, and Swirsian's sweet tooth cannot resist the allure. What appears to be constant grooming is just Swirsian ceaselessly tasting its own sugary flavor.

Swirpoke's tail was once lauded for its sweet flavor, until it was discovered that Swirpoke's fluffy fur is just as sweet and edible, and far more humanely obtained. It's happy to share its own fluff with others.

Slurtress constantly licks its delicious and incredibly hard candy-like shell, which keeps it smooth and pristine. It greedily hoards its sweet flavor, to the point of detonating the explosive cherry on its top if others don't leave it be.

Delicious desserts naturally grow on top of Slursaur's body, replenishing any consumed portions overnight. Many bakeries use them as mascots and ways to offer free samples.

Minikhan primarily lays quiet and dormant, preferring small amounts of company at most. If it detects the cry of a child, however, cracks form in its shell, and a strong glow forms within its hollow eyes.

While used very little, Minimory's wings retain a constant sharpness. It seemingly lacks the energy to fly, staying to the ground and cutting down berries from trees to eat.

When Minikazam stays motionless and meditates, it's said it astral-projects itself far into the depths of space to parts unknown. On the evening of meteor showers, it gazes upward and regards the display with its eyes glowing bright.

Some say Minichamp's outer shell was created to limit the unparalleled strength it possessed. Its shell makes ominous rumbling crackles with every flex of its muscular body.

It's said that gazing into Miniown's core gives a glimpse through time and space, possibly even dimensions. Research is inconclusive, as all who look for protracted periods fall unconscious and remember little of what they saw once awake.

Charuna swings its fiery tail fiercely at anything nearby, protecting itself while it waits to evolve. Should two Charuna choose the same branch to hang from, they fiercely flame at each other until one is forced off the tree.

Charink churns its gears together at high speed to create large gouts of flame. Its intense nature drives it to try and create increasingly fiery bursts, indifferent to the damage it causes its surroundings.

Despite its towering size, Digdos is more docile than a first glance would suggest. It only turns aggressive should trespassers ignore warnings and intrude upon the Diglett nesting areas it protects.

It often burrows up into farms to steal crops that might ease its aching head. Because of its pitiful expression as it does so, most farmers can't bring themselves to chase it off.

Shards of the crystals on its body splinter away should Dianhorn hit a wall too forcefully. These discarded pieces have begun to become popular material for accessories in mountainous regions.

Dianchoke is lavish to the extreme when expressing affection, showering those it adores with shiny gifts and sweeping gestures. Its elaborate displays inspire romantics who wish to propose in a grandiose manner.

Its been observed that after a Luvorb explodes in the wild, the breeding rate of other Pokémon sees a sharp increase for a time. It's believed that a certain type of Pokéball is based on Luvorb's appearance.

Though it presumably means well, the effects of a Luvode explosion are considered dangerous, as it could render an entire city's population too focused on amorous relations, to the detriment of every other facet of life.

Areas where swarms of Luvfree roam are popular romantic getaways. It's said that should a wild Luvfree follow and flutter close to a couple, they will have a long and blissful life together.

Luvkarp was once used to scam those who couldn't afford a proper Luvdisc to give to their loved ones. Its affectionate personality and cute appearance made it become an acceptable gift in its own right.

Luvgon's first documented appearance was on one of the oldest and most successful of online dating sites. Rumors say if it appears after one receives a romantic message, it's a positive omen towards a blossoming love.

Luvlax is a very affectionate sort, often hugging those it likes and refusing to let go for several minutes. Sleeping against a slumbering Luvlax often induces pleasant dreams of romance and love.

Luvlass roams around romantic hot-spots, inviting couples to rest beneath the shade of its parasol. Those that accept its kindness provide it sustenance, as Luvlass feeds off the feelings of love emanating from the couple.

Luvcool's tentacles have a toxin meant to induce feelings of placidity and affection in those afflicted. It drifts along the ocean currents finding pairs of people and Pokémon to induce or deepen their friendships.

With its many tentacles, Luvcruel can sting and induce pleasant and even romantic feelings in several people at once. Luvcruel has been reported interrupting yacht parties in order to incite love among the guests.

The shell on Luvbro's tail periodically drops pearls that it often gifts to others, particularly couples it happens to spot. It likes to adorn its shell with the shiniest of the pearls.

Poochkoth hangs from trees, growling and swiping its lanky arms at anything that gets near. It quickly retreats and hides away at the first sign of retaliation, however.

Lacking mobility, Poochscoon flees from most anything by shooting string to high places and reeling itself away from danger. It does occasionally seek vengeance by dropping its heavy body down on aggressors from high places, however.

Poochlow has a conflicting nature, cowardly but desiring to be brave. It's not uncommon to see it repeatedly pick a fight, then retreat from retaliation, only to rejoin the fray and then run away again.

Though physically quite frail, Poochmur is quite adept at intimidating others. It lets out a quiet growl as a warning, before stunning aggressors with deafening barks.

It has simultaneous urges to run in a straight line as well as in a zigzagging pattern. As a result, its running gait is very wiggly and unpredictable, though most regard it as highly entertaining as well.

Zigtrike moves with short hops that always follow a zigzagging pattern. Whenever it leaps or lands, small sparks can be seen emitting from its paws.

It uses its arms to hop around in a zigzagging pattern, patrolling around its mountaintop homes. Because of this, its arms are incredibly powerful, able to shatter stone in its grip with ease.

Lingull has a very high top speed in the air, though its maneuverability with turns is mediocre at best. It makes incredibly quick dives into the water to snatch up fish to eat.

Wurmts clings onto the tallest parts of trees lush with vegetation to hide from predators among the thick leaves. If startled, it wildly spews sticky strings all about it in a panic before teleporting away.

Wurmkoth hangs upside-down from tall tree branches, dangling a sticky string of webbing from its mouth to catch bugs in. It can remain in this hunting position for 18 hours straight.

Wurmlow is often found watching over Wurmple in the wild. It perches on trees to take potential predators by surprise, wrapping them up with silk and carrying them away.

Silple continues to generate silk constantly even after being completely cocooned. It sprays copious amounts of string at anything that passes by so it can vent the excess material.

Caskoth seeks out isolated spots to hide itself and sleep through its evolution process. After it evolves, the left-behind cocoon often gets used as bedding by small Pokémon.

Its mobility is low, but the layer of cocooned silk on its body gives it protection from the elements and others. Casple retaliates against any predators with surprising aggression.

Because it has an impatient nature and can't wait to grow larger and stronger, Caslow's immobility while cocooned causes it endless frustration. If closely observed, one can see it vibrating faintly with pent-up energy.

If a member of a Dugtrio is separated from its group, it becomes more aggressive in its solitude. Hunters expecting a mere Diglett will find themselves faced with ferocious resistance if they try to pick it off.

Tailrill has a feisty personality and likes to battle other bird Pokémon in the air. Its twin tails coupled with its aerial maneuverability make it quite adept at clubbing other foes out of the sky.

Though it tends to lay about for most of the day, Tailkoth is known to be protective of small bird Pokémon; the only time it's been seen moving quickly is rushing to one's defense.

Tailmur enjoys quiet solitude and long naps deep inside caverns. If disturbed, it may retaliate against the rude awakening with angry chirping so loud it shakes the stone walls around it.

Scrappy by nature, Tailra isn't afraid to pick fights with those bigger than it. It may not be strong, but its stubborn nature and quick teleporting make it a tricky foe to those who underestimate it.

Wingts is highly in-tune with the changing winds at sea, able to sense the air currents for miles. This has made it invaluable to sailors, and few ships leave without at least one in tow.

Wingish greatly admires creatures able to take flight. Its often seen at beaches, gazing up at passing Wingull flocks and calling to them, waving at them and hoping to make friends.

Wingtrike always makes sure it has plenty of room to build up speed before it leaps into the air to take flight. The running generates internal electricity, and lets it leave a trail of sparking lightning behind as it glides through the air.

Wingcool's swimming capabilities are rather mediocre. In order to travel large distances quicker, it leaps from the water and catches the wind with its arms, letting the gusts carry its lightweight body.

Meowbone uses the bones leftover from its fish meals as a weapon and tool. On occasion, it has also been seen using it to comb its fur and groom itself.

With a sufficient diet of coins, Meowfing emits clouds of gold dust from its pores. Though worth little economically, many enjoy using it to give some of their possessions a golden aesthetic.

In the past, unscrupulous sorts sold large amounts of Meowkarp, scamming others who believed they were shiny Magikarp. Since then, "buying a Meowkarp" has become slang for foolish purchases in some regions.

Meowdle sniffs out the unique scent of money with its large nose. It scrounges around most human homes, wriggling into tight spaces where loose change can be found.

Meowdile regularly goes diving in rivers and lakes to search for shiny objects, especially coins. If two spot the same prize, they latch onto each other in a biting contest until one yields.

Meowpi enjoys picking up loose change and sharing it with others. The only coin it will absolutely refuse to part with is the one upon its head.

Meowtu is fascinated by shiny reflective objects, curiously captivated by its own reflection. In the wild it can spend hours gazing into the eyes of its reflected image.

The coins around Meowflora's face absorb and store sunlight and heat. It goes into low-light areas and shines the stored sunlight onto wilting plants to help rejuvenate them.

Meowbull pleads with its cute face and small whines in order to receive handouts from people. Few can resist, and as a result Meowbull has a reputation for being an extremely spoiled pet.

It has a selfish nature, stealing coins and crushing those that would threaten to take them away. Fitting its greedy nature and the symbol on its chest, it's become commonly seen used by Team Rocket members.

Meowchu is a prankster, often shocking others to get a rise out of them or swipe something from them. Flicking the coin on its forehead will make it cry and behave, at least temporarily.

Meowsian is considered a good family pet thanks to its even temperament compared to others of its family. All it craves is regular affection and an occasional shiny bauble, and it remains content.

Strangely, consuming small coins assists Meowduck in soothing its painful headaches. Excessively eating them will lead to it developing stomach cramps instead, however.

Meowta has a bit of a mischievous streak, and enjoys suddenly flaring its flames up while being pet. The flames remain harmless, but it revels in the startled reactions it gets from its victims.

Meowmer slinks around urban areas, attempting to find discarded coins to absorb into its slimy body. If Trainers graciously donate spare change to it willingly, it gives a thankful cheer in return.

Many find Whismitty's cute appearance endearing and adopt it as a pet, but caution is advised; while generally low-maintenance, if upset Whismitty will let out extremely loud meows that can rattle houses.

Whismra generates its psychic energy through the act of screaming. This naturally makes training it or battling with it an incredibly noisy affair.

Extremely tenacious, Makubat picks fights constantly with those bigger than it. Every time it gets swatted down, it gets back up with renewed vigor and energy, training itself to grow stronger.

Makueye searches caves for progressively larger and harder gems to strike its fists against. Once it's able to shatter a gem with its punch, it searches for the next most durable one to continue its training.

Wishing to train its body to perfection, Makura spars with any Pokémon it can. Once it's exhausted, it teleports elsewhere to recuperate, then returns right back to its training.

Highly curious and playful, Skitra teleports right up to anything that catches its eye. Many a trainer has been startled by a friendly Skitra happily dropping onto them out of thin air.

Electzagoon generates electricity in its fur by running about in a zigzag pattern. The more it runs around, the greater the electrical burst it will inevitably discharge.

Electnoone generates electricity while running, gathering more internal energy the faster and longer it runs. After a point, it even begins leaving trails of crackling lightning behind it as it dashes around.

Flocks of Electgull can be seen often during storms at sea. They fly directly into the storm clouds, coming out crackling with electricity they've absorbed from within.

Perwak are arrogant fighters, but have something of a code of honor. They prefer to fight a weapon-wielding opponent, if only so they may dramatically disarm them in battle and gloat.

Using its psychic powers recklessly will cause the material of Psykyu's disguise to rupture at the head and lose stuffing. It will hastily drop whatever it was doing and retreat in order to repair the damage.

Psykoth lives an extremely simple and lethargic lifestyle. This is due in equal parts to its own personality, as well as the fact that even small amounts of strenuous activity cause its head to hurt.

Psyroth flails and runs about at random, behaving noisily and chaotically. If it didn't, the overabundance of testosterone in its body would cause it to suffer painful headaches, so it must burn off energy ceaselessly.

The bubble Psysis floats in is a protective barrier from external stimuli. Its head is extremely sensitive, so if the barrier is popped, it suffers excruciating migraines until it regenerates.

Psyfisk submerges itself at the bottom of ponds and mud puddles. Should something tread upon it, it flings them into the distance with psychic powers triggered by the headache from getting stepped on.

The stick it carries is charged up with some of Psyfetchd's residual psychic energies. Those hit by it will suffer painful headaches for up to 48 hours afterward.

When frightened, Psyder quickly retracts and snaps its hardened shell shut for defense. Sometimes it closes so fast it snaps down on its bill before it fully retracts, causing mild headaches.

Due to constant headaches, Manduck is very ill-tempered, lashing out at anything nearby in a pained tantrum. The more intense the headache, the more viciously it swipes at everything around it.

While not as strong as normal Primeape, they are not as volatile in temper either. They often guard troops of young Mankey, as well as keeping the more aggressive ones in line.

Manchop's entire torso grows hair normally, but most are seen lacking patches of fur, due to its tendency to rip its own fur off in a furious display before attacking whatever triggered its ire.

Due to its punch-happy nature and hair-trigger temper, Manchoke has massively developed forearms pulsing with strength. Most specimens are noted to get very angry if the contrasting size of their legs is pointed out.

Relirock was first discovered slumbering deep within ancient ocean ruins. As the ruins predate almost any other discovered civilization thus far, it is believed Relirock is one of the most prehistoric species in existence.

Although its temperament makes it liable to rage at anything, one must take care to never touch Primegeot's flowing mane; doing so sends it into its most violent rage as it flaps and creates tornadoes of wind all around it in anger.

Though less outwardly aggressive than Primeape, Primesey is incredibly protective of the eggs it carries. Even a single crack, and it will lay waste to all its surroundings in a rage.

An ancient golem created in time immemorial, Primesteel appears to have gone berserk, targeting anything in sight as it rampages across the land. Scientists and historians debate what its original purpose could have been.

Fusion has caused an even bigger temper to be packed into a smaller body. Primekey has so much pent-up rage that if it isn't allowed some outlet to vent its temper, it risks its own organs shutting down from stress.

Normally Primeler keeps its lower arms tucked close to keep its guard up, but if it truly gets beyond angry at something, it will unleash four-armed fury on its target until it is pummeled into unconsciousness.

The tufts of fur growing from its pores need to be regularly removed for Growlfing's health. The repugnant-smelling hair clumps are sometimes used as a treat for domestic Trubbish and Grimer.

Growlbuzz can draw fire into its body and absorb it to some extent. Working together, a team of Growlbuzz could suppress a raging forest fire in less than an hour.

It is usually well-behaved, but becomes very competitive in the presence of another Growlmar. The different Growlmar will try to outdo the other in fire-breathing prowess, regardless of surroundings, so owners should take precautions.

Growlfarig sniffs around wooded areas looking for the best spots to graze for grass, nuts and berries. Though it has no sense of smell, the head on the tail will make sniffing motions as well.

Law enforcement agencies have begun training Growldour for special units and operations. Their sense of smell and natural-born teamwork skills make them efficient partners, particularly for search parties.

Growlans makes for an excellent tracking companion for hunters. With its sense of smell and its thin body, it can sniff out and give chase to a target into all but the tightest of hiding spots.

Normally well-behaved, a Growlsol acting out is a sign of it trying to tell its Trainer something. For instance, digging many holes in the yard suddenly is a sign an earthquake is approaching.

Growlalga adores its Trainer and spends as much time as possible by their side. It subtly slows the flow of time, just to extend how long they can be together.

Charlia that have perfected the art of their special dances manifest the image of a dragon behind them as they dance. This flaming spirit can even separate and fight alongside them in battle for a time.

It is fiercely protective of its Trainer, able to fling psychically-controlled fireballs should they be threatened. Charvoir has been known to compete with its Trainer's team to see if other Pokémon are worthy of guarding them.

It refuses to sink its fangs into a weak opponent. If it deems an opponent worthy, Charbat drinks its blood to try and siphon the power of the challenger.

Small of stature and strength, Polideen flees from conflict with its swift swimming capabilities. If cornered, it will blow water and bubbles in a chaotic spiral pattern to confuse pursuers.

The foamy bubbles atop Poliloon's head help keep it moisturized while airborne. It must submerge itself in water to rehydrate once these bubbles are gone.

Polifisk's main defense mechanism is in its plaintive expression, hoping that potential hunters will take pity on its sorrowful look. Those that don't will get blinded by a bit of inky spit in their eyes before Polifisk flees.

When submerged, Poliuk's body becomes translucent and blends into the water save for its eyes and mouth. It's accidentally frightened several people with its sudden appearance, though it only wants to play.

Typically docile, messing with a Polikarp's whiskers is a quick way to incite thrashing anger, as it takes great pride in the swirling curl and making sure it always keeps its proper shape.

It may look comical, but Poliwile being able to effortlessly move a massive fist while possessing a diminutive body is a testament to its strength. A Mega Punch from it could send a Golem straight through a mountain.

Lacking in brains but excelling in brawn, Polipoke keeps itself strong by taking a swing at the nearest thing it can. In most cases, this results in it punching its own tail.

When wearing the bones of Alakazam, Abone exhibits stronger abilities due to lingering psychic energy in the skeleton. The same energy causes Abone to no longer sleep as soundly as it once could.

It is timid despite its size, running away from threats before teleporting to safety. Because it continues running after teleporting, Abhorn has a tendency to appear out of thin air and smash into things head-first.

As it transforms, it uses its psychic powers to also copy its target's mind as closely as possible. This has sometimes led particularly skilled Abto to forget their true self until the transformation wears out.

Abpix defends itself by creating a trio of floating orbs of fire. If an opponent is not defeated or deterred once all three are used, it retreats by teleporting away.

The purple flame on its tail is an indicator of its psychic potential, flaring up when it uses its telekinetic abilities. Staring at the flame too long has been known to cause mild headaches.

If Abmur senses something sneaking up on it, it suddenly lets out a bellowing shriek of terror to alert other Pokémon to the danger, before quickly teleporting itself away to safety.

Kadaode feeds on electricity to stimulate its brain and increase its intellect further. Absorbing too much too quickly causes it to explode with psychic energy that leaves it and anyone in the vicinity unconscious.

Its shapeshifting abilities have evolved to the point where it can copy a target's mind perfectly, including all their memories. Trainers often have Kadato help them to remember past events.

It shakes the end of its tail to release psychic waves, immobilizing prey so it can crush them in its coils. Some regions sold severed Kadabok tail-tips as novelty spoons before it was deemed inhumane.

It is thought that the mushrooms on Kadaras's back enhance one's intelligence, so poaching reports run rampant, requiring conservation efforts to be taken.

Kadachoke is eager to impress others with brains and brawn. Solving complex equations while lifting massive weights is child's play for Kadachoke.

The spoon-like appendage dangling from its mouth emits psychic waves that disorient weak-minded prey, letting them more easily be seized by telekinesis and lifted into Kadabell's waiting maw.

Kadaton shifts and rotates its orientation depending on which power it's using most strongly. The starred one on top denotes higher magnetic force, the mustached one psychic powers, and the remaining one for when both are in equal measure.

Its mind has grown so vast and powerful, it remembers the lives of every being it has become, even when not transformed. Historians believe Alato is key to preserving cultural history for the future.

It trains its rock-hard arms almost every waking hour, punching stones into powder as practice. By pushing hard against the ground, it can launch itself to great heights and scale mountains.

It's said that Mawak uses a bone as a weapon to give others a fighting chance. Should it throw its bone to the side and aim to use its own fists, you've succeeded in making it truly mad.

The muscles in Madon's arms are directly tied to the rotation function of its drill-like horn; the harder it flexes its limbs, the faster its pointed horn will spin.

Trainers have reported seeing their Magma focus intensely and begin bubbling at a high rate. Researchers theorize it is attempting to manifest arms to flex with, but no successful attempt has been recorded.

The belt it wears helps regulate its ability to make ultrasonic cries. If it were removed, the decibel level of its cries would be enough to deafen any creatures within a 100 foot radius.

It maintains a strong training regiment as a way to curb and control its more violent tendencies. Sometimes this temper still flares up in battle, leaving it disappointed and sullen afterward.

Seeking the perfect balance of brains and brawn, Mabra commits itself to honing both body and mind. It perfectly schedules an equal amount of physical training and meditation, down to the millisecond.

Fusion has caused part of Machoke's next form to manifest prematurely. Machoke is not in control of the powerful extra limb, causing it no small amount of distress.

Mata is a rather troublesome entity in the wild. In its eager haste to show off its strength, it has a tendency to run at people and hit them with a "playful" clothesline, often knocking them unconscious.

A Maicate problem is considered the worst job for Pokémon pest control specialists to be called for, due to their strength and tenacity. Often an entire team is needed just to take care of a single Maicate infesting a home.

Mazor considers itself the strongest of the clawed Pokémon, a title it defends fiercely. When not honing itself, it cleans its claws to make sure they always have a pristine shine for it to flaunt.

Matrum uses its four massive arms to pummel prey into submission before devouring them. It actively refuses to eat anything it hasn't properly punched beforehand, even a treat from its Trainer.

It spits a sticky, smelly fluid at trespassers from its perch on cave ceilings. This fluid also tends to attract lots of small insects, so most travelers avoid Bellbat habitats.

Squirtbone defends itself with the bone, skull, and shell fragment of fallen Blastoise. It tries to appear brave, lowering the skull to obscure its face so nobody can see it cry.

It prefers swimming to flying, able to swim across entire oceans in a few hours. It follows along ships it comes across, watching over them and guiding them through rough waters.

Squirtma's wings are as sturdy as its shell as well as waterproof. When in danger, it tucks its whole body into its shell to hasten its flying retreat, diving into the nearest body of water.

Now lacking a shell but gaining a streamlined body, Squirtans has become adept at agile swimming, both offensively and defensively. For its own safety, it rarely slithers onto land before it evolves.

When it teleports away from danger, it leaves behind a bubble of water floating in the air. One can faintly hear an echo of Squirtra's cry from within before it pops.

Weepinfree spreads a sweet-smelling pollen on tree bark with its wings before flying away to wait. When it returns later, its large mouth inhales all the little bugs lured to the scented spot.

As it swings its leaf-like arms, it emits scents to attract potential prey closer. Once within range, it inhales deeply, vacuuming small creatures into its open mouth.

Although it may not look it at first glance, Weepinkazam's "mustache" is actually a pair of prehensile vines. It grabs onto foes within range to wrap around them and leave them susceptible to psychic onslaughts.

Should a Weepinbell attach to a Slowpoke's tail, the toxins from the plant cause the body's color hue to change drastically. Its behavior changes as well, seeking more sunlit areas and adding large amounts of insects to its diet.

Though both heads use lure tactics to capture prey, only the front head can actually consume it. The rear head simply captures smaller prey for Victreefarig to save for when larger, more fulfilling food is scarce.

Its legs are retractable and extremely dexterous, able to extend to lengths of almost three meters. Tentalee will extend its legs mid-kick in order to wrap around an opponent and crush it with its powerful constriction.

Tentadeen is a swift swimmer with a bad temper. Anything that catches its ire will be smacked ruthlessly with its tentacles before getting a painful venomous sting from its horn.

The core contains most of its energy, which it can transfer to its tentacles to give them more potent strikes in battle. The tentacles change in color and glow brightly when supercharged.

Its tentacles contain poison, but its potency is so weak that victims rarely develop any symptoms. It has to ensnare prey instead and hope that its target isn't strong enough to wriggle out of its grip.

Tentasola's colorful body makes it easy for it to camouflage itself among the vibrancy of coral reefs. It lies in wait until fish swim too close, and grabs and drags down hapless prey with its stinging tentacles.

Tentatic's tentacles appear dangerous, but have no venom in them, only being used to grab potential prey. What appear to be whiskers on its head are the true prehensile appendages it uses to deliver painful paralyzing stings.

Tentatom tends to hang around maritime resorts and other populated beach areas. It pranks people with stings from its tentacles, which affect auditory senses and make the victim hear nothing but static for a time.

With its grinning expression and grabby nature, Tentamer gives a bad impression at first glance, but it's actually harmless. Its tentacles possess no poison, and its grabby nature is just because it loves to hug new friends.

Technically blind, Tentabas flashes lights from its bulbous eyes in order to visualize its surroundings. The tips of its fins contain stingers that can leave nasty gashes and inject a paralytic poison.

A very speedy swimmer beneath the waves, Tentaedo maneuvers quickly and gets itself as close to prey as it can, before extending stinging tentacles from its mouth to grab and drag prey into its hungry jaws.

Tentadisc can sometimes be seen milling about near Tentacool mating grounds. It flashes lights from its orbs that disrupt the mating rituals, though its reason for doing so remains unknown.

Tentaduck's enlarged cranium houses a brain brimming with psychic potential. Those hit by its tentacles will be inflicted with the stinging pain of constant headaches for up to a week.

Tentapoke is a sociable aquatic creature, with a questionable way of bonding with others: its tentacles can inject a venom that temporarily reduces cognitive functions, so that Tentapoke can enjoy company as simpleminded as it is.

Its slimy, squishy body allows it to maneuver its way into locations nearly a quarter its size. If threatened, it blinds attackers with lights from the orbs on its heads before flinging toxic goop at them.

Tentaby hunts with a three-stage strategy, snapping its claws to get a target's attention, blinding it with flashes from the orbs on its head, and finally immobilizing prey by stinging it with its tentacles.

Tentayu buries most of its body into the sand, leaving only the starfish shape visible, until prey stumbles close. It then reveals its tentacles and gives chase, able to swim quickly and run just as easily on land, making escape very difficult.

Tentasire looks far more intimidating than it actually is. It would much rather hug than hunt, though embraces are ill-advised due to the neurotoxin within each of its many tentacles.

The tentacles on its head are used in conjunction with the lower ones to brace its body; the force of the ink it shoots from its mouth is so great, all its tentacles are needed to keep it from rocketing backwards.

Tentaking rarely moves from its lair in the ocean depths, its many tentacles able to grab any prey that swims too close. Some fiction novels depict Tentaking as a deity with power beyond mortal comprehension.

It ejects its tentacle-like innards and forms complex gestures with them to communicate with others of its kind. It seems to mostly be a way to inform others of hunting spots and areas where predators abound.

Though mostly harmless, Tentamer has a mischievous streak. It enjoys hiding partially submerged and waits for something to approach it curiously, before rising up and scuttling quickly towards them to send them running.

Each tentacle can release a numbing neurotoxin into the system of anything it touches. Though good for hunting prey, Tentaduck mostly uses it to soothe its constant painful headaches.

It possesses the strength of Tentacruel's 80 tentacles packed into a mere two. It can easily knock away much larger Pokémon, and its hyper-potent venom could incapacitate a Wailord with a single touch.

Its tail has a potent sting easily capable of stunning prey for Tentapoke to eat. Because it's so forgetful, however, it only remembers to actually reel in the prey once every ten stings or so.

The prehensile cannons extending from within its shell give it fantastic offensive and defensive capabilities. If one should be severed, a reserve from within will extend to replace it.

Geobone removes its skull cap in private to mourn its loss. Older Geobone can be identified by smooth lines on their face where tears have caused erosion over time.

Geokoth is very lazy and has strong antisocial tendencies. It lounges around in places where scattered rocks and pebbles are plentiful, pelting them at anyone that approaches it.

Geolu is convinced it can fly if it tries hard enough, despite lacking the necessary attributes. Trainers are warned to watch for falling Geolu as it leaps from cliffs and plummets while flapping its arms rapidly.

It churns up smoke within its body to strengthen itself, including letting it hurl its heavy body long distances. After particularly taxing movement, it releases the pent-up smoke from its mouth.

Krabby often keep Geoby in close company, as their strong arms allow them to hurl stones at flying Pokémon that would normally hunt them. Afterward, it flexes triumphantly before its grateful charges.

Gravegeot is slightly vain, proud of the long mane of hair-like stone on its head. It washes and polishes the rock often until it gleams, and is particularly vicious against any who would dirty it.

Graveicate keeps its large teeth healthy and strong by gnawing on the many rocks and stones strewn about mountains and caverns. It's become a nuisance to Rock-type Pokémon as it sometimes gnaws on them as well.

Gravedreavus can make itself incorporeal and possess stone. If one's mountain travel seems fraught with far too many near misses with falling rocks, it may be a Gravedreavus playing pranks.

Because it eats small rocks as well as berries that grow near mountains, Graveckle's juice is described as having a slightly grainy texture. It's a popular beverage choice among hikers and campers.

Gravepy often play with each other by using their trunks to grab rocks, throwing and dodging the stone projectiles. Unfortunate Geodude and Roggenrola sometimes get used in these games as well.

It generates energy internally by curling up and rolling about the mountains. It enjoys charging up enough energy to shoot bolts of lightning at large rocks to shatter them to pieces.

It shatters large rocks into bite-size pebbles with the large arms on its head. Afterward, all four arms will take turns shoveling the stone morsels into its hungry mouth.

It rubs its back against stone walls to grind down the rocky spines on its back when they grow too large. Spears using broken-off spines as the tip have been found dating back to ancient Kanto.

When standing still, Gravepass will swing and rotate its multiple arms with no discernible pattern. Researchers theorize these movements adjust and regulate its internal magnetism.

Using all four arms, it digs through caverns in search of raw precious gems. After successfully snatching some, it cannot resist prancing about in triumph before consuming its crystalline meal.

Gravesect crawls atop large boulders and siphons nutrients from them. The boulders turn hollow and brittle as a result, crumbling to dust once Gravesect has fed from them completely.

It uses all four arms and even its tail to grab stones in order to pelt them at trespassers. Should this warning be ignored, it will fly into a deeper rage and roll at its target, howling all the while.

Each fist can punch a hole in stone with ease, making Graveape a formidable opponent. A raging Graveape once reduced an entire mountain peak to dust in a day before it calmed down.

Its strong rocky forearms make for a potent offense. Its other set of arms seem malformed, but in actuality it keeps them tucked close to help protect weak spots on its torso.

Gravechoke's flexing isn't just for showboating; every flex temporarily stores more energy in its stony arms. If allowed to flex enough before release, a single punch could crumble an entire mountain range.

The fist on its tail is used to smash stones into chunks small enough for it to eat. When it chews on the rocks, sparks can sometimes be seen as it crunches on the stones.

Gravedash have been found in depictions of royal houses in historical Galar and Kalos. High-ranking knights would ride them across dangerous territory, where speed and defense were both paramount to survival.

The three parts of Graveton maintain a connection via a strong grip, rather than any magnetism at work. Curiously, the bond this way is even stronger than the magnets; nothing has been seen able to pull them apart.

Graveel makes its home at the bottom of cold underground lakes. Records indicate some Lapras have been saved from poachers by Graveel rocketing from the depths and attacking the interlopers.

Its hardened stone body and powerful drill horn give it incredible offense and defense capabilities. Godon are known to battle Tyranitar over territorial claims for mountainsides.

Goras inhabit pristine underground lakes. Ordinarily a creature of solitude, should travelers need to cross its lake, it will oblige them. It sings a rumbling song that echoes across the cavern as it does so.

Fur manages to grow from Goicate's rocky skin, forming a coat that sheds once a year. Carpeting made with its fur is popular in some regions due to emanating a natural earthy scent.

Gochu are always producing electricity within their stony body; if not released periodically, the built-up energy will explode out of it. Entire chunks of their mountainous homes have been destroyed this way.

Gosol have an innate sense of how stable rock and stone in the area is. Those in the mountains have come to know that if one sees a Gosol running past them, they should follow, or be caught in a landslide.

Golurk carefully remove, crush and reshape parts of the mountains they reside in over time. It is thought that they are attempting to turn these mountains into vast temples for a civilization that no longer exists.

Its rocky exterior made it near invulnerable in the ancient world, helping it claim large amounts of territory for itself. Its only weak spot is a small area on the neck where its stone skin is least durable.

Govenant is said to appear in mountains being drilled or tunneled with no regards to the Pokémon dwelling within. It enacts a terrible vengeance on those who do not respect the mountain's inhabitants.

When using its powers in battle, the seams between the stone plates of Gobink's body glow brightly. Its said that beneath the stone is a crystal so radiant it would blind a person instantly if beheld.

Its body is still developing, so Ponytres's flight capabilities are rather poor. It flaps vigorously just to stay airborne, flinging countless embers around it with every swing of its wings.

Ponybok traps its prey with a two-pronged attack: it stuns victims with disorienting color patterns from the horseshoe marking on its chest, and slithers around them quickly, trailing fire to create a circle of flame that leaves them with no escape.

One half of Ponyink is safe to touch, but the other is always hot enough to burn on contact. If it spins rapidly enough, this half grows hotter, combusting and firing a gout of flame in front of it.

Despite its stout build, Ponykoal is compelled to try and trot at high speeds. Flames rise high from the pores in its shell as it trains to reach speeds higher than the average human walk speed.

Ponysian is a bit vain, preferring to keep its fur and flame stylized and groomed in a specific way, avoiding the touch of others that may mess it up. Thus, only those it truly trusts are allowed to pet it.

Ponychoke goes on long daily runs in order to keep its muscles strong, its legs especially. It can run at top speed for an hour straight before beginning to tire.

Ponyduo trots across the land with a quick, if slightly clumsy, gait. Eating mostly seeds, the two heads will hold their food above the other's flame, lightly toasting their meal before consuming it.

When casting Hypnosis, Ponyzee's flames burn at their brightest. The consumption of the dreams of its victims seems to be what keeps its flames burning, as a hungry Ponyzee's flames are dim and flickering.

Its wings are composed entirely of flames, spreading sparks with every flap. It has complete control over these flames, so the sparks and embers will not burn anything unless Rapifree wills it.

When Rapifarig's fiery mane vanishes, one should take immediate defensive or evasive action; the fire is all being stored in the tail, which it will spew out in a massive jet of flame at its target.

Rapichu channels fire all across its body to aid in defense, while keeping vast stores of electricity built up inside. When it needs to attack, it channels all the lightning into its horn and fires powerful bolts from the tip.

With its quick feet and precognition, Rapisol quickly evacuates those it perceives as being in potential danger. Emergency response teams across the world are beginning to recruit Rapisol into their ranks.

As Rapisect scuttles about, it releases small embers containing spores that sink into the ground. From these spores will eventually grow a type of mushroom noted and sought for its spicy flavor.

With a smaller, more developed body, Rapita can reach greater speeds than before, though it takes time to acclimate to its new top speed. Its new potential gives it a bit of an ego and temper, so its behavior is rather volatile.

One of the speediest Pokémon on the land, Rapidrio can race across an entire region in a few hours. As it runs and leaps, it leaves behind flaming hoof-prints in its wake.

Five of the clutch mindlessly join together by biting their tails, surrounding the smarter sixth member in the center. This protects the center one physically, letting it protect the others with its psychic powers.

Orphaned due to Slowpoke Tail poaching, Slowbone wields its mother's tail as a weapon to defend other Slowpoke colonies from suffering a similar fate.

It charges at anything approaching its territory, but with its small legs and heavy upper body, Slowhorn moves at a snail's pace. It gives up long before it does any damage, and often forgets why it tried to charge in the first place.

Unscrupulous sorts once thought Slowros would be the key to profit by tripling Slowpoke Tail production. However, Slowros tails were far too bitter to be edible, ruining the plans.

Its frightening expression scares off intruders and hunters, but Slowdos is as dim-witted as its Slowpoke brethren. While swimming, it may mistake its own tail for prey and accidentally injure itself.

Its lethargic lifestyle means it rarely gets up and moves around for any reason. It takes so long to do so that by the time it is on its feet, it has forgotten the reason it wanted to move in the first place.

When able to think properly and fully concentrate, Slowtwo utilizes incredible psychic power. These moments of clarity are incredibly rare and brief, often going years between minute-long displays of potential.

When spooked, Slowbok flares its hood, the imagery of which causes attackers to be stunned and confused as their minds are suddenly overwhelmed with inane questions and half-baked thoughts.

Slowdon possesses the power to move the earth through potent psychokinesis. It uses this power to reshape the ground into the perfect napping spot.

Slowbas is considered a good beginner's aquatic pet due to being very low maintenance in both food and behavior. Many children find its vacant stare gazing back at them through a tank incredibly endearing.

Sloweal dips its tail into the water to catch fish. Due to its lightweight body, it often gets dragged along by the caught fish, leaving it bobbing lazily atop the water's surface as it's carried away.

Slowmer is used by some to remove Poison Pokémon from lakes, as Slowmer's goopy tail has a taste those types find irresistible. Slowmer doesn't feel the bites, so it's simply happy to be helpful.

As Slowuk oozes about aimlessly, it forms itself into a variety of shapes and sizes. This is because it easily forgets what it's supposed to look like, reshaping based on faulty memories.

Slowby's pincers can move surprisingly quickly, snapping onto potential prey and gripping tightly. It often forgets why it grabbed something, however, and releases most of its meals back into the wild.

Though it appears large and imposing, Slowdos is one of the most docile Pokémon to own, ignorant of its own appearance. Some wild Slowdos have even been seen frightened by their own reflection on water surfaces.

The Shellder biting its tail leeched psychic energy from the host, growing more intelligent. Now smarter than the host, it bites specific nerves to force physical responses and make it more formidable in battle.

When attacking, Slowbat uses the weight of the Shellder on its tail to drop quickly and heavily from the sky. However, its four wings struggle to lift its heavy body back off the ground afterward.

It habitually gnaws on objects within reach, out of nothing more than simple curiosity. Slowicate even gnaws the Shellder on their tail, though this is discouraged as the hard shell damages their teeth.

Though blinded by the Shellder biting onto its head, Slowagon now has the advantage of a much sturdier headbutt. The bite's venom also stimulates its brain functions slightly, giving it a smattering of psychic abilities.

Slowby's claws have minds of their own, and may be more intelligent than the main body. Slowby stands vacantly still, until a claw raps its head and instructs it to move towards food or shelter.

Its oversized claw has a mind of its own, with a strong hunting instinct. It snatches prey in its jaws, then begrudgingly gives the scraps to its dim-witted host, for the sake of their shared survival.

The gas emitted from either side of Magnefing contains differing chemical compositions. Should the opposing clouds be forced together, small but potent bursts of electricity are created.

Magnelax is omnivorous, but has a particular taste for anything metallic. Magnelax sticks small objects like nails, bolts, and such to its magnetic face, saving them to eat as snacks after a lengthy nap.

Magnerow's head can rotate completely, communicating with others of its kind by twisting it to specific angles in sequence. Flocks tend to gather most often near radio towers.

The two rattles on its tail course lightning between them when it shakes them to warn threats. If its warning goes unheeded, it doesn't hesitate to fling lightning from its tail to fry its attacker.

Magnepy can shoot out showers of sparks from its trunk when agitated. When it flaps its large ears to cool itself, its magnetism surges, drawing metal objects towards it.

Being licked by Magneon's wire-like tongue temporarily leaves a faint residual magnetism on an individual. Magneon changes its color depending on its own current polarity.
