Yaoh is said to roam graveyards for lost spirits. Legend says the mask that Yaoh carries shows the face of the spirit they are guiding to the next life.
Its feathers--which glow in seven colors depending on the angle at which they are struck by light--are thought to bring joy. These Pokémon arose from the spirits of people interred in graves in past ages.
