Although Wootine are a fish Pokémon, they are unable to breathe underwater. They draw in large breaths while skimming over waves, inflating gill-like organs that almost double in size. They slowly disperse the oxygen to the rest of their body.
On sunny days, schools of Wootine can be seen elegantly leaping over the waves. Wootine usually live in water but come out onto land seeking food occasionally.
