The stick Woophox carries is bestowed upon it by its elders when it evolves. When it points it upwards and concentrates, it is able to see the future. Many point it downwards instead, as doing so lets them picture the perfect mudbath.
It gazes into the flame at the tip of its branch to achieve a focused state, which allows it to see into the future. Woophox usually live in water but come out onto land seeking food occasionally.
