Whirliper can oftentimes be found sitting on a muddy riverbank while sucking on its tail, staring off at nothing. This action helps it build resistances to other poisons since, when out of water, its body is covered in a highly toxic film.

Whirliper usually live in water but come out onto land seeking food occasionally. It is usually motionless, but when attacked, it rotates at high speed and then crashes into its opponent.
