Vileper is adapted to cold waters but is unable to sense temperature. The flowers on its cheeks begin to emit a pungent smell if they get too warm, causing other Pokémon to chase them away. Oddly, this reaction helps it stay in cooler areas.
Vileper usually live in water but come out onto land seeking food occasionally. In seasons when it produces more pollen, the air around a Vileper turns yellow with the powder as it walks.
