Venudra live in tropical estuaries, their brightly coloured fins helping them blend in with leaves and petals floating at the surface of the river. They are aggressive when disturbed, shooting concentrated streams of water at their aggressor.

The poisonous barbs all over its body are highly valued as ingredients for making traditional herbal medicine. Venudra's flower is said to take on vivid colors if it gets plenty of nutrition and sunlight.
