Vaporsect swim in lakes and rivers spreading their spores wherever they go. These spores cling to the gills of aquatic Pokémon, so scientists are searching for a new home where they can safely release spores without harming local Pokémon.

Vaporsect are known to infest the roots of large trees en masse and drain nutrients. Vaporsect underwent a spontaneous mutation and grew fins and gills that allow them to live underwater.
