Originally thought extinct, a Tyrantula was recently discovered in the Asado desert. Researchers have learnt they hunt by waiting in the sand, when prey wanders close, Tyrantula shock them before dragging them into the sand.
They employ an electrically charged web to trap their prey. Thanks to its gargantuan jaws, which could shred thick metal plates as if they were paper, it was invincible in the ancient world it once inhabited.
