Toreye guards a grove of trees it tends to and has curated, even having stolen some by ripping up trees by their roots and replanting them if needed. It allows other Pokémon to live in the grove so long as they do not harm its precious collection.
It digs branching holes in caves using its sharp claws in search of food--raw gems. Small Pokémon occasionally gather on its unmoving back to begin building their nests.
