Hoenn Pokémon Professors initially considered Torchkoth to be an appropriate starter Pokémon for new trainers thanks to its docility and quick evolution. Unfortunately it is also very difficult to motivate and will sleep entire days away.
It sleeps virtually all day and night long. If attacked, it strikes back by spitting balls of fire it forms in its stomach.
