By remaining in a motionless state, Sunzma absorbs and stores sunlight. It has trouble blending in with the open fields it occupies and lashes out when approached to deter further interruptions.
Light is apparently the source of its energy. Sunzma try to minimize movement to conserve the nutrients they have stored in their bodies for evolution.
