Riding on a Shellras is said to be very safe, as its tough shell is strong enough to survive multiple Sharpedo attacks. It needs very little food to keep going, only needing one or two berries a day.
People have driven Shellras almost to the point of extinction. At night, it burrows a hole in the seafloor with its broad tongue to make a place to sleep.
