To confuse enemies, Sandyduo builds a decoy head out of packed sand near its real one. While the fake head stares blankly, the other will make erratic calls or throw sand to disorient threats.

Even while eating or sleeping, one of the heads remains always vigilant for any sign of danger. It likes the shovel on its head, so Sandyduo will get serious and fight any children who come to take it back.
