Despite sleeping during most of the day, Slabat can use their ears perfectly to keep balance and stay safe. They do go out at night when most other Pokémon would be asleep or unable to see them.
While living in pitch-black caverns, their eyes gradually grew shut and deprived them of vision. It sleeps virtually all day and night long.
