According to myths, Chandeloh is depicted as the Protector of the Sevii Islands. The flames it produces can reach up to 8,000°F, but only if it deems the threat impossible to defeat.
Its feathers--which glow in seven colors depending on the angle at which they are struck by light--are thought to bring joy. Being consumed in Chandeloh's flame burns up the spirit, leaving the body behind.
