Whenever it's underwater, its tail floats on the surface with its jaw open, allowing Mawrill to breathe without emerging. It also uses its tail to protect its offspring by gently carrying the eggs or newly-hatched babies inside the jaw.
It lives in water virtually all day long. Its giant jaws are actually steel horns that transformed.
