Gifted with a strong sense of hearing, Nidotu can hear burrowing Bug-types from miles away. Always hungry for bugs, Farmers attract them to their fields to serve as natural pest control.
Nidotu live in arid plains, scoping out other wildlife. Sometimes, they suddenly lunge at Pokémon they have observed for a long time to poison them. The exact reason is unknown, but believed to be because of premonitions.
It runs up short trees that grow on the savanna to peck at new shoots. When it is with its friends or family, its barbs are tucked away to prevent injury.
