When threatened, Nidosaur produce toxic pollen that sticks to whatever they touch. By swaying back and forth, they saturate the air with pollen and scare away most Pokémon.
The rose on Nidosaur's back is alluringly beautiful, but has its thorns. One step too close to this seemingly small, harmless Pokémon, and unwary admirers will lose consciousness from its tranquilizing and venomous aroma, never waking up again.
Nidosaur's flower is said to take on vivid colors if it gets plenty of nutrition and sunlight. Its highly toxic barbs are thought to have developed as protection for this small-bodied Pokémon.
